Elf Studio Blush Review

If you’re looking for some cheap, pigmented blushes these may be just the ones for you!

When I first swatched these from my Elf Haul, I’ll admit, I wasn’t too impressed. Especially considering I had some trouble swatching a few of the shades. It just didn’t look good…….or so I thought!

These beauties are quite impressive! Not only are they cheap (regularly $3) but they’re pigmented and long lasting too! That was one of the first thing that amazed me with these blushes! I can apply these in the morning before work and still see some pigment on my cheeks when it’s time for bed!

I was also stunned by how nicely they applied and blended! These blushes are a little on the powdery side, but they apply and blend very smoothly and take very, very little product to fish your cheeks. Like I said earlier, these babies are pigmented! Those with lighter skin tones need to use a really light hand with these. A little goes a long way. I don’t even use my Elf Studio Blush brush with these because they’re so pigmented. I like to apply them with a stippling brush and blend with a clean kabuki if I applied too much.

The packaging is small, black and chic. The blushes feature a small clear window on the front lid that allows you to get a peek of what shade you’re picking up. The lid flips open to reveal a small mirror for a little blush application on the go. They seem pretty sturdy are the perfect size to toss in your purse and go!

The only downsides to these beauties are the fall out issue (which isn’t really that bad) and that some shades feel really gritty in the pan. It doesn’t affect the way the blush applies or anything but a couple of these don’t feel very smooth in the packaging.

My favorite of the shades I picked up are Fushia Fusion, Blushing Rose, Pink Passion, Berry Merry and Mellow Mauve. All of which are pretty shimmery but the shimmer can be buffed out to be less noticeable.

Fushia Fusion isn’t really fuchsia or fushia. It’s more of a dusty rose color with loads of shimmer. It applies a really nice pink shade that really warms up your face.

Blushing Rose is a gorgeous shimmery deep berry shade that looks great with natural daytime looks. This shade is one of my favorites.

Pink Passion is a blue based bubblegum pink shade that appears matte but does have a trace of shimmer. It applies just as vibrant on your cheeks but it still doesn’t make you clownish. I actually love this one!

Berry Merry is another deep berry shade with shimmer but its very much darker than Blushing Rose and applies with smoothly in a nice pinky brown shade

Mellow Mauve is a gorgeous beige pink shade with a subtle hint of shimmer that looks very natural when applied. It gives the appearance of naturally rosy cheeks.

I would totally recommend these! They are affordable, pigmented, long lasting and haven’t broken me out! Elf shocked me with this one!
