Maybelline Fit Me Foundation Review

What originally caught my eye about this foundation is the packaging. It’s simply beautiful to me! Tall, sleek glass bottle with a glossy black cap with very little writing. It’s simple, yet attractive!

Although I didn’t read any reviews on this, I decided to pick this foundation up anyway because it looked so elegant. So how does it perform?

Check it out!

As I mentioned before, I really like the packaging! The downside? It doesn’t have a pump. Things may get a little messy and you might waste a bit of product.

The bottle appears solid and sturdy. I did a drop test from my bathroom counter and it held up pretty well! It also survived a 12 hour road trip to Atlanta stuffed in a small makeup bag packed under heavy luggage!

The Fit Me foundation comes in 18 numbered shades. The shades range from 110 (the lightest) to 355 (the darkest). I am 355 which is a deep golden shade with a bit of red undertone.

Here is a better look at the shade out of the bottle and blended out a little:

Maybelline did a nice job with this one! Fit Me feels lightweight and provides light to medium coverage.

I don’t really have blemishes but I think this formulation would do well alone for a natural look or with a bit of concealer for more coverage. My skin tone is a little uneven but Fit Me works that right out!

It leaves my dry, sensitive skin looking flawless! It also doesn’t break me out! I have been using it daily for about two weeks and I really like it! With a primer, this foundation lasts FOREVER. I can apply around 10 a.m., fall asleep in it (big no no!!) and still see loads of brown on my wash cloth or makeup remover towlette. That’s without using a setting spray or powder! Pretty impressive staying power!

It is has a slight powder scent. It’s very faint and wears off. The consistency is not too thick and definitely not watery. It applied very well with a flat top buffer and moist beauty blender.

Check out the finish!

The coverage may be too light for those with acne, scarring and blemishes but the coverage is perfect for me. I definitely think it could be built up without appearing cakey because of the lightweight formula.

I can’t really think of anything I don’t like about this foundation other than the shade range. Maybelline is only “fitting” a small range of beauties. I’m not very dark yet I’m the darkest shade in the line. I definitely think Maybelline should have went darker considering they carry other foundations in deeper shades. But if Maybelline happens to fit you I definitely recommend! It can be found around $14 or cheaper at most drugstores and Ulta.

9/10

  1. It does not fit me 🙁 Neither does Iman’s foundation line! I do have 2 Fit Me blushes that I like. Glad it’s working for you! It looks great!

    1. Thanks! I was actually looking to try Iman soon. I’m hoping it won’t be a bust.

      1. I have a friend who’s a makeup artist and he swears Iman is the best. Try it out and let us know! 🙂

  2. I use their concealer during the winter moths but I do have to agee they don’t have a wide range

    1. I don’t get why not. It’s pretty weird.
