Redken Smooth Down Detangling Cream Review

I never understood the wonder of leave in conditioners until I tried this one by Redken. Their Smooth Down Detangling cream is truly a treat for dry, frizzy hair. Because I deep condition and apply oils to my hair so often I didn’t think a leave in conditioner was necessary but, trust me, it is! Since I’ve started using this cream my hair has been much less frizzy and stays moisturized in between deep conditionings.

The ingredients definitely aren’t all natural but it does have macadamia oil and it’s pretty high up on the list which means there’s a nice amount in the formula. Macadamia oil is known for cutting down on frizz and detangling. It also replenishes moisture and shine as well as promotes elasticity which helps prevent split ends and breakage. I’m a little bummed that this product has been discontinued but I’m glad that my mom was able to snag a few bottles on sale. The texture is very lightweight and creamy and it doesn’t weigh my hair down. It’s usually a little pricey at $16 but a little goes a long way and it’ll probably be discounted since Redken no longer makes it. If you can manage to get your hands on this I totally recommend it!
