Ipsy July Glam Bag
When it comes to monthly beauty subscriptions things can really be hit or miss. This month was definitely a miss for Ipsy. The last few bags have been pretty nice but this month was a total let down. I honestly think it’s the worst bag I’ve ever received! Sorry Ipsy!
I won’t rip on them too hard because the bag (although cheap looking) is actually pretty cute. I would totally use it on vacays to carry my loose lippies and liners! The contents inside left much to be desired though. I’m not much of a hair spray person so I was a little excited the first time I received a sample of Big Sexy Hair spray but this time not so much. To be honest, I still haven’t touched my first sample and probably won’t bother with this one. I would have loved to receive something else. The Pop Beauty lippie was a bust too. It felt really cheap and almost fell apart when I tried to open it. I don’t use sunscreen too often (I know I should!) so the mineral sunscreen sample was a nice touch but still meh. The only real excitement I had came from the Derma E Microdermabrasion scrub and BH Cosmetics California Collection eyeshadow sample. I haven’t used the scrub yet but I tested it on the back of my hand and it seems pretty nice. It has this lovely sweet lemon citrus scent and it’s packed with tiny exfoliating beads. I bet it’s an amazing scrub! The eyeshadow sample was a really nice addition as well. I loved the colors and I’ve been eying the new California collection palettes so it’s nice to get a little taste of them.
Overall, I’m pretty disappointed with this month’s selection. Hopefully next month will be a lot better!
