Vacay Nails with Marc Jacobs & Deborah Lippmann!

I know I left you guys hanging on Manicure Monday but my claws are back and flaunting some pretty unique colors this week! I’ve been so busy working and preparing for my vacation that I didn’t get a chance to get my nails done until Tuesday but there was no way I would miss out on sharing this mani because it’s so pretty and introduced me to some really awesome polish. Earlier this month, the amazing Marc Jacobs released a beauty line that I was just dying to try! Since the release, I’ve picked up a few products (haul coming soon!) including the beautiful Lux polish which I decided to pair with this adorable Shake Your Money Maker glitter polish by Deborah Lippmann. The result?

A match made for the polish gods! I just LOVE it!! Lux isn’t a color I would typically paint my nails but I was drawn to it instantly while browsing the display. It’s such a unique and universally flattering shade. I think it would look just as beautiful on lighter ladies as well. Lux appears to be a bright summery yellow but it’s actually great for fall too. It has a green undertone that kind of gives that Shrek feel lol. I like it though! It’s what makes Lux so unique to me. The application wasn’t too bad either. It was pretty opaque with one coat but was a little streaky. A second coat made the color more even and much less streaky. Once topped with clear polish everything looked beautiful!

Shake Your Money Maker was quite the treat too! I must say first, that I just adore the name. Lol it’s just really cute and different! The quality really blew me away too. For a glitter polish Shake Your Money Maker is very opaque! It has a sheer deep cobalt base and big chunks of blue and gold glitter. In one swipe my nail had plenty of color and glitter. I only used two coats and no top coat. It dried nicely and doesn’t feel gritty at all. Very nice quality! I definitely recommend checking out both of these beauties!
