MAC Flat Out Fabulous Retro Matte Lipstick Review

Yes, I’m still going retro matte crazy! Fixed On Drama may be too vampy for some but Flat Out Fabulous is a lippie anyone could pull off! I’ve been trying to shy away from pink lips but this beauty is quickly pulling me back!

Flat Out Fabulous is described as bright plum but it’s more of a fuchsia with a purple undertone. If you’d like to purple it up I’d suggest pairing it with Fashion Boost, Magenta or Heroine lip liners. I’ve been wearing Magenta with it and I love the turn out. Very fall-esque!

Flat Out Fabulous wears similarly to Fixed On Drama with minimal feathering and bleeding. But because it’s a bit lighter it’s a little more obvious. Of course, Flat Out Fabulous is slightly drying due to the extreme matte finish but it feels pretty creamy upon application. I don’t get any tugging or pulling at all while applying. It wears for over 6 hours and leaves a nice stain behind. A lot of ladies find the retro matte formula to be too dry but prepping with a balm works wonders. I have no issues with dryness after prepping with my Jack Black. Flat Out Fabulous may be sold out now but don’t fret! It is permanent and should be restocked soon!
