MAC Nude Lipstick Review

Finally a nude lipstick for women of color! I have discovered a few gems in the RiRi Hearts MAC fall collection but I was most pleasantly surprised by Nude. It’s definitely a challenge finding a nude that’s not too light or muddy looking but MAC has made the task a little simpler with Nude!

It’s described as a cool nude cream. Which is pretty dead on. It’s a taupey cool beige shade that goes on very smoothly. It’s very creamy for a matte. But I like it! Once it sets I’m left with a subtle matte finish that wears for around 4 hours before starting to fade.

Nude is very flattering on many complexions but it does take a little tweaking. Because it’s so cool and deep it can look poopy or corpse-like. I didn’t like it the first time I tried it on. Then I paired it with MAC Cork Lip pencil and really liked it! The one thing I don’t like about Nude is that settles into lines after a few hours of wear just like any other nude lipstick. Otherwise, it’s a pretty beautiful nude lippie! If you missed out on Nude there is a very, very similar shade coming out this week in the MAC Divine Night collection. Of course, it won’t be in that gorgeous rose gold packaging but it’ll still be dipped in gold rather than the standard silver accents. Be sure to check your local MAC counter this Thursday for the release!

It looks nice on you! I need to play around with the nude and who’s that chick. I thought the nude color was a little to dark for me. I typically buy lighter nudes. I’m a NC45 for reference.

Thank you! I usually go for lighter nudes as well but I like Nude. It’s different. I think Cozy Up and Honey Love will always be my fave nudes
