Make the Night Divine with MAC!

Finally! I have swatches! For some reason Divine Night swatches were pretty scarce. But they’re here and I’m more than ready to share!

Flair for Finery, Private Party, You’ve Got It, Prepare for Pleasure and Exclusive Event

You’ve Got It, Flair for Finery, Exclusive Event, Private Party and Prepare for Pleasure

I’ll start with the lipsticks since they’re always the most popular pieces! There are five limited edition shades that should suit everyone’s needs. You’ve Got It looks light a pale white pink in the tube but it’s a very frosty gold when swatched. I’m sure someone out there might be able to pull this off alone but I think it’s more of a layering lippie. Flair for Finery is a cool pink nude with a lustre finish that’s really pale and white on me but I think it would look beautiful on lighter complexions. Exclusive Event is a cool taupe nude with a satin finish that looks a lot like Rihanna’s Nude lipstick but it’s a bit darker, cooler and more gray. If Nude was a little too brown or warm for you then you’ll love Exclusive Event! Private Party is hands down my favorite of the bunch. It’s the only one I purchased! You can check out my full review here. Prepare for Pleasure is really bright pink red with a cremesheen finish that pulls really red on me. The pink undertones will be much more apparent on lighter, cooler complexions.

Flair for Finery, You’ve Got It, Private Party and Prepare for Pleasure

The lipsticks have their own matching Cremesheen gloss with the exception of Exclusive Event. Which pairs pretty nicely with You’ve Got It. Flair for Finery and You’ve Got It are definitely more on the sheer side. Even the hint of shimmer is very faint. I think they’ll work very well for layering though! Private Party had pretty nice pigmentation and had a really pretty sparkle to it. Prepare for Pleasure was definitely the most impressive! Cremesheen glosses tend to be more on the sheer side but Prepare for Pleasure packs a punch! I wish I was more into red lips as it is truly beautiful.

Centre of Attention, Scene to be Seen and Perfectly Poised

Scene to be Seen Mineralize Skinfinish

Centre of Attention Mineralize Skinfinish

There are three Mineralize Skinfinish powders in this collection. All of which are pretty warm and very finely milled. As others have noted, these are a bit powdery so expect a little mess. Perfectly Poised and Scene to be Scene have great pigmentation and give a beautiful glow. Scene to be Seen is a plum shade with brown undertones and some gorgeous shimmer. While it is beautiful it looks more like a blush to me. Centre of Attention has a more sheer base and the gold square has really big chunks of glitter. You can view my Perfectly Poised swatches and first impressions here.

Talk of the Town, Lured to Love and Lavish Living

There are three Mineralize blushes in this collection. Talk of the Town is an extremely frosty warm rose gold. I’m sure it would look beautiful with a very light hand. Lured to Love is warm peachy shade with a bit of a pink sheen. The sheen is absolutely gorgeous in person! Unfortunately, Lured to Love is much too pale for deeper complexions. Lavish Living is just beautiful! It’s a deep plum with silver flecks of glitter. I think it would make a lovely fall blush on light and dark skin tones! Like the Skinfinish powders, the blushes are also pretty powdery but they’re a little more sheer than the Skinfinish powders. I still didn’t have any issues building them up.

Captivating, Exquisite Ego, Until Dawn, Gilded Night, Past Midnight and Tonight’s Temptation

Captivating and Exquisite Ego

Until Dawn, Gilded Night

Past Midnight and Tonight’s Temptation

All of the eyeshadows were pretty pigmented and weren’t half as powdery as the other Mineralize pieces in this collection. Of course, they’re very glittery so they won’t be everyone’s cup of tea. If I had to pick a favorite it would be Tonight’s Temptation as it’s beautiful in the pan and the blue square is just GORGEOUS!

Fierce Entrance, Military and Gadabout Girl

Raven, Feline, Mystery and Orpheus

Mystery, Orpheus, Raven and Feline

The Kohl Power pencils are nothing new. All four shades have been repromoted numerous times. No idea why MAC won’t make them permanent. They glide on very smoothly and have excellent pigmentation. They’re much softer than the Pro Longwear liners I’ve tried so I’m not sure if they’ll hold up as well but I am impressed by the way they swatch. I only hauled Mystery but I’m considering picking up Orpheus and Feline. They’re just so pretty!

Macroviolet, Deliciously Rich and Stares & Speculations

The Fluidlines in this collection are just gorgeous! They all contain a bit of shimmer but the glitter is much less apparent in Macroviolet. I think these shades are a bit too light to really define my eyes but I would love to pair them with a winged liner! Either a glittery accent or pop of color on the bottom lid. Both would be beautiful! None of them felt gritty to me and I had no issues with pigmentation. I was pleasantly surprised by these beauties!

Great swatches as always! For some reason this line is just not a wow factor for me besides the packaging but, if I was to choose I would maybe go with the Exclusive Event lipstick.

I wasn’t too impressed with this collection either. There were a couple of gems but overall I felt like MAC dropped the ball this year. Glamour Daze is still my favorite collection. It blows Divine Night out of the water lol
