I feel like it’s literally been forever since I’ve popped into my local drugstore to stalk the makeup aisles. And you know what? I actually miss it! There’s a lot of perks that come with high end makeup shopping but nothing is more satisfying than a good cheap makeup haul. It’s so nice to grab a few goodies without breaking the bank!
Clearly the lipsticks are the stars of the show here! I picked up several bright pinks and purples from a variety of brands I’ve been meaning to try. After my year long love affair with MAC I’m ready to start exploring other brands! I’m not much of a stranger to drugstore lipsticks but I managed to snag a few lippies I’ve yet to try. Of course, I couldn’t NOT pick up another Revlon Super Lustrous lipstick but the rest are all brand new formulas to my stash that I can’t wait to start testing! Everything swatched so well and looked really beautiful against my skin tone so I’m hoping they perform just as well. I noticed a few colors looked similar to some of my higher end lippies so I’ve included some random comparison swatches to give you a clearer picture and possibly some dupes!
I didn’t plan on picking up a new powder at all but somehow the new Maybelline Fit Me Pressed Powder in 360 jumped into my arms anyway. I’m a huge fan of the Fit Me Foundation in 355 but the matching powder is a touch too light so I’m hoping this will be a better fit. I’ve only tried the pressed powder with the foundation a couple of times but I’m looking forward to really testing it out now that I’ve snagged a darker shade. Check out the swatches!
