LORAC PRO Palette Review

This review is so long overdue! I hauled the LORAC Pro Palette last year for my birthday and I’ve been obsessed with it ever since! Naked who? I almost completely abandoned my original Naked palette because the PRO palette is soo good! I’ve already made dips in several shades and actually hit pan on shadow. It’s become my go to palette!

The packaging is simple yet chic. The PRO palette comes in an incredibly slim magnetic casing with silver accents. It’s very lightweight and easy to travel with. The LORAC PRO palette is one of the few eyeshadow palettes I pack with me for EVERY gig! It’s so portable and versatile! Inside you’ll find a nice sized mirror and 16 neutral eyeshadows in a variety of finishes from shimmer to matte. The top half of the palette is completely matte while the bottom half contains the more shimmery shades. I’m completely impressed with the color selection and the fact that there are just as many mattes as shimmery shadows. I prefer to keep the shimmer to my lid (and maybe brow bone) so it’s refreshing to have a palette that isn’t overrun by glitter.

Now here’s where all the magic happens! All of the eyeshadows in the PRO palette are very pigmented, buttery and blend very well. Including the mattes! They’re some of the best matte shadows I have ever tried! Although the shadows are buttery soft I don’t get much fallout and they don’t feel powdery. Each shade is silky to the touch and easily picked up with both natural and synthetic hair brushes. Without primer I easily get over 8 hours of wear before I notice any fading. I do have drier lids though so oily gals will probably fare much better with a good ol’ primer underneath! On top of primer, these shadows have carried me through a long night and the next morning! LORAC definitely knows how to do eyeshadows! I honestly can’t think of one bad thing to say about the LORAC PRO palette. It has 6 more eyeshadows than the Urban Decay Naked palette and is $10 cheaper ($42). I just hate that the brand is being phased out of Sephora so it’s no longer available there. But there’s always Ulta and Nordstrom!
