Remember that mountain of brushes I cleaned just last week? Well after a weekend gig I’ve racked up another pile of dirty brushes in desperate need of a little TLC. Bleh. Of course, I wasn’t looking forward to the chore at all! However, the Beauty Blender Solid Sponge Cleanser has been making things so much easier. Take a look!

The packaging is simple yet very effective. The soap comes in a small plastic white jar that’s very lightweight but sturdy. I know a few ladies were concerned with how the soap would stay clean after rubbing your dirty brushes all over it but it’s simple! The solid cleanser works just like any regular ol’ soap. The gunk and dirt rinses right off rather than sitting on the surface. Under the solid cleanser, there’s a nifty little sifter that catches all the leftover residue so you can just pour it out after you’re done.

On a typical wash day, I would spend most of my time pouring Philosophy Purity Made Simple Cleanser into my pruned up hands to get my brushes squeaky clean. Now, it’s just a couple of swipes and done! The Beauty Blender cleanser makes wash time so much easier, faster and cleaner. First, I wet the the solid cleanser. Then I wet my brush being careful not to get the ferrules wet. Don’t want my handles falling off! Finally, I swirl my brush around the cleanser and then use the lid to continue swirling all of the makeup out. You can swirl your brush around the solid cleanser as well but you’ll probably end up using too much soap and running through it. A little goes a very long way! It’s also a very gentle cleanser with a light clean fragrance so it won’t strip your bristles or irritate those with sensitive skin. After a long and intense deep cleanse session my brushes feel clean and soft as a baby’s bottom. I can’t recommend it enough! You can find the Beauty Blender Solid Sponge Cleanser at Sephora for $16.
