MAC Superb Extra Dimension Skinfinish Review + Birthday Look of the Day
There are a lot of signs people use to signal the end of days but a limited edition MAC compact still being available weeks after launch is the most blaring one for me! Can you believe Superb is still available?? I sure can’t! It’s such a pleasant surprise though because limited edition MAC products have been SO difficult to catch lately. The moment I spotted it on Nordies I knew I had to post a review as soon as possible!
Superb is described as a soft peachy nude with multidimensional shimmer and I’d say that’s pretty spot on! When swatched, the bronzy peach base shows pretty nicely but applied I get more of the multidimensional shimmer with very little peach shining through. The result is gorgeous bronzy glow that really brightens your entire look. Superb is much more shimmery and cooler toned than Magnetic Appeal but it’s still very flattering on brown gals. I do recommend using a duo fiber brush or a light hand because it can get very frosty and a bit ashy looking if you pile too much on. However, when applied correctly Superb is one beautiful glowy highlight!
Superb wears just as lovely as it looks too! The texture is very soft and finely milled so it feels more like a cream than a powder. It glides onto my cheekbones and is very easy to buff into the skin for a polished glow. I’m more on the dry side so I don’t have any issues with staying power. Even if I skip the foundation and powder my cheeks still have that glowy goodness after 8 hours of wear.
