Did I mention I’ve been in love with purple lately? I don’t know where the rush came from but I’m digging it! My latest purple rendezvous was with the Marc Jacobs Truth or Dare Lust For Lacquer Lip Vinyl. It reminds me so much of MAC Cremesheen glosses but just a tiny bit better. Check it out!

I’m no stranger to the sleek Lust for Lacquer Lip Vinyl packaging as I’ve tried one of the sheer glosses before. However, the applicator is a bit different since it’s part of the Full formula. The Full line features loads of pigment a nice pointed applicator that works extremely well with my fuller lips. It’s very soft and cushiony like the applicator on Heart Shaped but it has a pointed tip that gives more control over all that extra pigment.

Truth or Dare is a glossy deep raspberry on me that doesn’t wear long but it’s still a treat to wear! The formula is infused with antioxidants and essential oils so it’s pretty hydrating and good for your lips too. There’s this tingly cooling sensation upon application that feels pretty good on my lips. It only lasts for a moment but it’s very refreshing. Truth or Dare has a strong mint scent that wears off pretty quickly but it does come on kind of strong. On the lips, Truth or Dare is non sticky and very opaque in one swipe. Darker colors usually go on patchy but this gloss applies evenly in just one swipe. The formula is really nice! I just hate that it only wears for around 2-3 hours on me. Truth or Dare does leave behind a pretty nice stain that lasts for another 2-3 hours so it’s not completely bad! Truth or Dare does cost a pretty penny ($30) but it’s a very creamy, easy to wear gloss that’s really beautiful and gentle on the lips. Definitely worth checking out with this polar vortex outside!

  1. Hey Fancie, yeah you definitely have a purple obsession going on for the moment. It IS a color that suits you well though! You should definitely continue to explore! We don’t even get Marc Jacobs here! It’s frustrating because I keep seeing pretty pieces!
