L’Oreal Fuchsia Orchestra Extraordinaire Lip Color Review

If you would have told me a month ago that I’d be obsessing over a drugstore gloss I would have called you crazy. But man these new formulas are seriously amazing! My love started with the Maybelline Color Elixir gloss and now L’Oreal is fanning the flames with their Colour Riche Extraordinaire Lip Colors. I can’t get enough of Fuchsia Orchestra!

The packaging reminds me of the Yves Saint Laurent’s Glossy Stains a little. It features a slightly bulky gold plastic tube with a fuchsia insert in the middle. Fuchsia Orchestra has a very strong grape scent that may be too strong for some. I smell it immediately when I open it and it lingers for a little while after application. While the scent is strong, it doesn’t have a noticeable taste so it’s not completely bad!

Fuchsia Orchestra has a small tapered doe foot applicator that’s super soft to the touch and feels pretty good on the lips. It works well with my full lips and the tapered end makes for a smooth, precise application. I don’t have to worry too much about coloring outside of the lines. The size and shape are perfect!

Fuchsia Orchestra is a deep fuchsia that’s like a gloss and stain in one. Upon application, it has a slightly thick non-sticky gel texture that’s pretty moisturizing and pigmented. It goes on smoothly and evenly with a semi-opaque glossy finish. After about 2-3 hours, the glossiness fades and you’re left with a nice fuchsia stain that wears for another 4-6 hours. I was completely blown away with how long the color lasts! It just didn’t seem to fade even with heavy talking, eating and drinking. Fuchsia Orchestra is also dry lip friendly! It adds a bit of moisture and leaves my lips feeling soft even after the gloss has faded. The stain left behind wasn’t drying and it didn’t streak or feather. So far, I’m REALLY liking the Extraordinaire Lip Color line! The only downside to Fuchsia Orchestra is the extremely strong scent. Overall, it is an amazing hybrid lippie and I totally recommend checking it out!
