Pops of Purple with Phlox Garden!

We’re still experiencing massive snow storms here in Michigan but I’m still feeling the spring spirit! I’m completely over winter right now. I know March just started but I’m ready for the April showers and May flowers already! Speaking of flowers, I’m still very much enjoying my goodies from MAC’s Fantasy of Flowers collection. Especially Phlox Garden! Who knew purple eyeliner could be so exciting?

Phlox Garden is a creamy, rich purple with slight red undertones. It’s like Heroine lipstick in eyeliner form! It’s a bold purple that’s vibrant but not too bright. I usually spring for pencils when it comes to fun shades like Phlox Garden but I am absolutely adoring the Fluidline formula! It’s very pigmented and creamy. Phlox Garden glides across my lids with no skipping, dragging or tugging at all. Some gel liners take a bit of building up to get a nice even opaque layer but not Phlox Garden! My only complaint is that it’s limited edition so at this point it’ll be pretty hard to track down. That’s one thing I hate about MAC’s limited edition collections. You have to snap up everything in a blink of an eye without really trying them out first. It’s especially annoying as a blogger when you’re trying to thoroughly review a product in less than a day or two. It takes more time than that MAC! I still wanted to share this review because Phlox Garden has become my favorite liner and some of you may be lucky enough to find one floating around your local MAC counters. But in case you’re having trouble tracking one down I’ve included some other purple eyeliner swatches you may like!

  1. Eee Phlox Garden is so pretty on you! On me it’s way too red, and I don’t think I can pull it off. It’s wonderful to see it on your skin tone! Gorgeous!
