The moment I opened my Influenster Uni Vox Box I was certain the NYC Forever Fuchsia Expert Last Lipstick would be my favorite freebie inside. Boy was I right! This was my first time trying a NYC lipstick and I’m pleased to say that I really like it. It’s a pretty nice formula!
The Expert Last Lipstick is a new formula from NYC that was designed to last up to 6 hours while delivering moisture and comfort. It comes in a slightly bulky hot pink plastic tube with a clear plastic top. The packaging does look cheap but it’s a $3 lipstick so it works. The only drawback is that the lipstick doesn’t retract all the way into the tube so you’ll have to be careful. It’s quite easy to nick the lipstick if you’re in a rush or not paying attention.
Now on to the lipstick! Forever Fuchsia is a vibrant light fuchsia with a satin finish and a light sweet, fruity scent. It glides on easily without any tugging and has great pigmentation. I was able to get an even, opaque layer in just one swipe. The NYC Expert Last formula is supposed to be moisturizing but I just found Forever Fuchsia to be comfortable to wear. It didn’t feel moisturizing or drying. It is long lasting though! I was able to get 6 hours of wear (just like NYC claims) before it began to stain and fade. Pretty impressive! My only complaint is that it settles into lip lines quite a bit. Thankfully, it isn’t super noticeable or icky looking. A good lip liner or primer will easily smooths things out! The NYC Forever Fuchsia Expert Last Lipstick seems to be a pretty great buy for just $3. It wears better than some of my higher end lipsticks! The next time you stop by your local drugstore I recommend checking out the NYC section to give the Expert Last Lipstick line a try. It’s a great beauty on a budget buy!
