Spring Scent Picks

Don’t you just love spring? Everything seems to get lighter and brighter when spring comes around. Including my fragrance collection! There are some scents that I like to wear all year round (like my beloved Prada Candy) but there are a few I reserve just for spring and summer. Check out a few of my faves!

Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche is an incredibly fresh, crisp scent with strong citrus notes and bursts of floral goodness from Water Hyacinth and Jasmine Absolute. It’s also energized with notes of Amber Patchouli and Fresh Vetiver to give it a nice woody feel to it.

Dior Addict 2 Eau Fraiche has a sweet, sparkling floral scent that’s very feminine and flirty. It has a sweet, subtle citrus note of grapefruit accompanied by stronger notes of Freesia and Lily of the Valley Bouquet. Together they create a soft woody base with enveloping white musk.

Marc Jacobs Honey is for the fun, playful gals! It has a mix of pear, mandarin, orange blossom, peach nectar, apricot, honeysuckle, golden vanilla, honey and smooth woods. The result is a sassy yet sweet fruity, floral scent with light bursts of citrus.

Marc Jacobs Dot is similar to Honey but a bit sweeter and more feminine. It starts off with a floral rush of honeysuckle and jasmine and finishes with strong sweet notes of red berries, dragonfruit and orange blossom. There’s also a bit of coconut water, vanilla, driftwood and musk to give it that ultra sensual, girly feel.

Chanel Chance Eau Tendre is much softer, lighter and more feminine than Eau Fraiche. It’s infused with notes of grapefruit, quince and traces of Jasmine Absolute and White Musk for a light, crisp scent that’s warm and flirty.

Miss Dior Eau Fraiche is a powerful, feminine floral scent. It has strong notes of bergamot, gardenia and Indonesian Patchouli that gives it a crisp, woody feel while still keeping a feminine floral balance.

  1. Great picks, Fancie! I rotate my fragrances the way you’d rotate the wardrobe! I’ve been wearing Dior Addict Eau Sensuelle, Givenchy Very Irresistible L’Eau en Rose, Kenzo Flower in the Air and so on. Just fresh and simple spring scents!

Thanks Sunny! I adore Givenchy Very Irresistible! I’ve been meaning to grab a bottle for the longest. I’ll have to try out the Dior and Kenzo scents. You seem to have great taste in fragrance so I’m sure I’ll like them!

  2. I love MJ Honey & Dot! 🙂

Have you tried mixing them together? It’s heaven to my nose!

The one downside of spring scents is that they tend to be Eau de Toilettes, for which I have a hard time justifying the price. The exception I found this spring was Clinique Happy In Bloom. Best of both worlds- light springtime scent AND long-wearing 🙂

I think all fragrances are pretty pricey actually lol. Especially eau de toilettes and parfums! I don’t think I’ve ever tried Clinique Happy but I’ve heard so much about it. I guess I’ll be grabbing a sample soon lol. Thanks for the suggestion!
