Wouldn’t it be nice if we could pause time to do our makeup? Don’t get me wrong. I’m not trying to spend hours at my vanity but sometimes I do wish I could toss on an eyeshadow or two without rush. A girl can dream! Since we haven’t cracked the time pausing just yet I’ve been getting cozy with my bold eyeliner stash for a splash of color. I’m usually rocking blues or greens but the Marc Jacobs Jazz(Berry) Highliner Gel Crayon has me singing a different tune lately. Check it out!

Jazz(Berry) features the same sleek silver packaging as Blacquer but it’s sporting a berry rubbery matte grip. I really, really like the packaging! It’s so chic and futuristic looking. Marc Jacobs really took a unique approach and it works well. The design is very convenient and easy to use plus it feels good in the hands. Oh, and did I mention it looks super sexy?

Jazz(Berry) is a muted deep, warm plum with golden shimmer and a metallic finish. In just one swipe, Jazz(Berry) is even and opaque with a slight coppery golden sheen. As you build the color, the glitter becomes more pronounced and gives a more metallic feel. I love how versatile and unique the color is because you can work it into pretty much any look! Jazz(Berry) can be tame or intensely bold. The decision is yours!

The complex color wowed me but the formula blew me away too! Jazz(Berry) has a very creamy texture that works well as an eyeshadow too. You’ll have to work a little quickly but it’s easy to smudge and blend before it starts to set. Once it’s set, Jazz(Berry) is pretty much budge proof! I didn’t experience much smudging despite my watery eyes and it didn’t flake off during the day. Jazz(Berry) wore for a solid 8 hours before I noticed any fading. I’ve had a really great experience with the Highliner Gel Crayons so far so I totally recommend them. They’re a little pricey at $25 but the unique colors and creamy formula are really worth it!
