Well hello there, Schiap. You, sexy thing, you! I’ve been eyeing you for so long. I just couldn’t wait to get my hands on you! I can’t explain how good it feels to hold your sleek, rubbery matte tube and color my lips with your bubblegum pink deliciousness. It’s just amazing!

I’ve been playing with the Nordstrom exclusive Schiap Lip & Nail set for a little while now but I’m still not over the excitement. Schiap is just a beautiful shade! Is it super unique? Well, no. But it’s different enough from my army of pinks so it still stands out. I’ve seen a couple of people compare it to MAC Candy Yum Yum and Pink Pigeon but they’re both lighter and brighter. The closest dupe in my stash turned out to be L’Oreal Eternal Rose lipstick. It’s a little darker and glossier but the colors are pretty close!

Schiap is a bright, neutral bubblegum pink with a semi-matte finish and no noticeable scent. It’s definitely a color that anyone can wear! Some bubblegum pinks can be pale and chalky but Schiap is very wearable. It has a creamy texture that glides across the lips smoothly and evenly with great pigmentation. It feels like a matte lipstick but it has a slight sheen so it looks more like a satin finish. The formula performs like a matte but it’s a little more forgiving on the lips. Schiap didn’t feel drying at all but it was a little clingy. It settled into my lip lines a bit and emphasized dry spots. Thankfully, it doesn’t take a lot of tweaking to fix! Once I exfoliated and added a lip primer (or liner) everything went smoothly. Schiap wears for around 3-4 hours before beginning to fade into a stain. The stain lasted me a few hours so I didn’t really have to touch up much throughout the day. I do wish Schiap was a little more creamy but I still like the formula. If you don’t have this iconic NARS lipstick in your stash yet then you need to run over to Nordstrom and grab the set! I mean, you could just pick up the lipstick. But it wouldn’t it be better to cover all the bases and save a few bucks? 🙂
