Nanacoco Hidden Desire Lip Gloss Review

Anyone that knows me will tell you that I absolutely live for a bold lip. I don’t care where I’m heading. My lips have to be bold and poppin’! Surprisingly, I’ve actually been kinda digging nude lips lately though. I almost forgot how convenient it is to just throw on a nude gloss and go. Luckily, I have my new Nanacoco Hidden Desire gloss to remind me!

I tend to skip over nudes when I’m lippie shopping but when I saw my friend Lo apply Hidden Desire I just had to have it. It’s an amazing nude lip for brown gals! Hidden Desire is a warm, pinky beige that doesn’t look chalky or pale at all against my complexion. That’s right. No Tyrone Biggums here! It works so well that I don’t even need a lip liner. If Hidden Desire was a lipstick it would be an extremely close dupe for MAC Cozy Up. It’s a teeny tiny bit more pink but honestly it would look identical on the lips.

Hidden Desire is extremely pigmented and has a thick, sticky texture and sweet cake batter-like scent. It applies smoothly, evenly and completely opaque in a single swipe. It’s a little heavier and more tacky than a MAC lipglass so if that isn’t your scene then you probably won’t like this at all.

If you don’t mind a little stickiness then you may grow to love Hidden Desire as much as I do! It’s lightly moisturizing and lasts for around 2-4 hours before fading away. Despite the clingy formula it doesn’t settle into lip lines or accentuate dry patches much at all. I’d still recommend applying a light layer though for the best results. Hidden Desire is so thick and pigmented that a little goes a very long way. Loading it on can cause it to look and feel goopy. We definitely don’t want that! Hidden Desire won’t be everyone’s cup of tea but I’m pretty darn impressed! The formula could be a little more lightweight but for $3 I’m certainly not complaining. Especially when the color is so perfect!
