Road Trip Roundup!

I don’t know how I did it but I drove through 5 states in a week and survived! It was super exhausting and I wanted to pull my hair out at some moments. But it feels so good to be home! Especially since I finally get to play in the goodies I’ve picked up along the way!

Remember when I said I was going to take a break from Instagram? Well, I failed, miserably. I saw a few pictures of the new Physician’s Formula Bronze Booster Airbrushing Bronzing Veils and had to have one. It’s so gorgeous! I picked up the Medium to Dark shade which is dark, warm shimmering bronze. I thought it was going to be a glitter bomb but the shimmer is actually pretty fine and subtle. I’m anxious to see how it’ll look on my cheeks!

Somehow, I managed to walk out of the door without my falsies case. Yikes! Can you imagine a lash diva like me surviving without falsies? Me either! I rushed to pick some up immediately just in case I felt like sporting some fluttery falsies. I picked a pair of #11 Kiss lashes and some Revlon Fantasy Lengths in style #99509.  I also picked up the Kiss Clear Lash Adhesive to try out. I’ve heard a lot of good things about it so I hope I like it too!

Have you ever picked up a product just because? Don’t feel too bad. I do it too! I haven’t heard much about the new Maybelline Dream Wonder Fluid Touch Foundation but it looked interesting and matched my skin tone. So I thought, “Why not try it?” I usually have great luck with Maybelline products so I have my fingers crossed that this foundation doesn’t disappoint!

I’m already a big fan of the L’Oreal Extraordinaire lip colors so when I saw the new limited edition shades with this cute animal print I went nuts! I wanted to grab all of them, honestly, but I settled for only one (for now). I ended up with Purple Prelude which is a cool, creamy pinky violet. It’s gonna look so good this fall!

Glitter anyone? I also saw these Hard Candy Poppin Pigments on Instagram and they reminded me a lot of the new MAC 3D Glitters I’ve been lemming. So naturally, I picked up the City Chic set which includes two multidimensional loose glitters. The glitter chunks look a lot smaller than my MAC 3D Gold Glitter so I think these may be a little more eye friendly. They’re definitely gorgeous!

Last but not least, I picked up a Milani and Iman lip liner. I forgot to pack a nude liner so I just had to grab the Milani Spice Color Statement lip liner. I really like the Color Statement formula so it was a no brainer! The Iman Fuchsia Perfect Lip Liner was more of an impulse pick but I’m glad to have it. A girl can never have too many pink lip liners!

Hi Fancie, do any of these liners apply smooth? I am in search of some “brown girl” friendly lip liners. Mac’s are way to expensive for me and most store brands tend to be stiff going across the lips. Any suggestions? Thanks:=)

Hello there Tinki! I haven’t tried the Iman one yet but you’ll love the Milani lip liners. They’re very smooth, creamy and pigmented. Fuchsia, Spice and the red one ( forgot the name) all work very well for WOC. NYX is a really great brand for lip liners too! They’re smooth too and have a lot of MAC dupes. Hope this helps!
