Wet n Wild Sweet Cream MegaLast Matte Lipstick Review

Is there a such thing as car lag? I’ve been road tripping my behind off lately and it’s totally starting to catch up with me. Talk about exhausted! I’ve barely had enough energy to pick up a makeup brush. That’s why I’m so thankful to have the Wet n Wild Sweet Cream lipstick. It’s perfect for my no makeup days!

Sweet Cream is one of the four limited edition shades released in the fall Wet n Wild Matte Collection. It’s a warm peach beige with a slight orange undertone. Nude lipsticks can be a little tricky to pull off but Sweet Cream is very easy to wear. Especially for WOC! The color really seems to complement brown skin.

And the formula? Divine! I’ve always enjoyed Wet n Wild MegaLast lipsticks but the new matte formula is really blowing me away. Urban Night and Bordeaux Boulevard performed very well and Sweet Cream is no slouch either! It has a lightweight creamy texture that applies smoothly, evenly and opaque in a single swipe. Although it’s labeled as a matte Sweet Cream feels more like a satin to me. It’s very creamy and has a slight sheen upon application. Don’t worry though matte lovers! The sheen fades rather quickly (within an hour or so).

I usually struggle with nude lips a bit but Sweet Cream gave me almost no trouble at all. The formula wasn’t drying at all and it didn’t settle into my lip lines or emphasize dry spots. Sweet Cream wore rather comfortably for around 3-4 hours before fading into a slightly patchy stain. If I could change one thing about Sweet Cream I’d make it fade more evenly but it’s nothing a little gloss can’t fix. The Wet n Wild MegaLast Matte lipsticks are a bit tricky to find but if you spot them in your area I totally recommend snapping up Sweet Cream. Or Urban Night and Bordeaux Boulevard too!
