Flower Beauty Stop the Violets! Shine On Lip Gloss Review

Care for a little lip gloss this Christmas? Who am I kidding? Sure you do! I know I just showed you two really awesome glosses (Cover Girl Ooh La Lava Lip Lava and NYX Sugar Cookie Butter Gloss) but I’ve got even more gloss goodness for ya.

Meet the Flower Beauty Stop the Violets! Shine On Lip Gloss. It’s a really cute berry pink with a slight warm, red undertone and semi-opaque finish. The color is very easy to wear as it’s not too bright or bold and it flatters a variety of complexions. I’m not a fan of the faint plastic-y scent but I do happen to like the packaging and formula a lot.

Stop the Violets! applies smoothly and evenly with a lightweight texture that doesn’t feel sticky or tacky at all. The formula is quite comfortable to wear and plays nicely with my dry lips. Stop the Violets! doesn’t emphasize flakes or settle into lip lines and I didn’t experience much bleeding or feathering either. It lasts for around 3-4 hours before fading into a light stain and it leaves my lips feeling pretty soft once its worn off.

Again, I could really live without the plastic scent and the fact that Flower Beauty is only available at Wal-Mart (which I despise) but I really like Stop the Violets! It’s a really beautiful, easy to wear berry gloss with a nice formula and affordable price tag. I totally think it’s worth a try the next time you hit Wal-Mart!
