Flower Beauty Tender Tuberose Kiss Stick Review

Looking for an affordable everyday pink lipstick? I got you girl! I recently picked up a couple of Flower Beauty lippies on a whim and ended up finding a great work friendly lipstick that just about anyone can wear.

Say hello to the Flower Beauty Tender Tuberose Kiss Stick, a mid-tone, warm rosy pink with a slight brown undertone and matte finish. It’s a super easy to wear pink that looks great against my complexion and isn’t overpowering. Tender Tuberose is quite soft and lovely!

But the smell is quite icky. Tender Tuberose has a hand lotion like scent that’s pretty noticeable in the tube and upon application. It doesn’t linger for too long so it’s not a deal breaker for me. However, I still find it a bit odd. Who wants lotion scented kisses? Eww.

The formula makes up for it a bit though. Tender Tuberose applies smoothly and evenly with full coverage in a single swipe. It didn’t tug or pull during application and the formula felt pretty creamy as it went on. The Kiss Stick Velvet Lip Color formula feels almost like the Maybelline Color Sensational Matte formula but it’s a tad drier and clingier. I wouldn’t necessarily consider Tender Tuberose to be drying but the formula isn’t as comfortable to wear as the Maybelline mattes. I guess I’m getting spoiled!

Tender Tuberose lasts for around 3-4 hours before fading into a light stain. I didn’t experience much bleeding or feathering but I did notice some settling as the color began to fade. It wasn’t very noticeable though so, again, it’s not a deal breaker for me. Overall, Tender Tuberose isn’t perfect but it gets the job done for a great price ($7). Just be sure to prep with a balm beforehand and you’re good to go!
