Milani Matte Naked Color Statement Matte Lipstick Review

Have you ever been on the move so much that you wanted to go into hibernation? That’s how I feel right now. I’ve been running non-stop lately and it’s starting to drive me a little batty. Jesus, be a pause button!

Although my days haven’t been too carefree I’m happy to say that I’ve come across a matte nude that’s a little less hectic than my schedule lately. Meet the Milani Matte Nude Color Statement Matte Lipstick. It’s a warm rosy pink with strong brown undertones and a smooth, creamy matte finish and sweet vanilla scent.

Matte Naked is the kind of nude lipstick that’s perfect for brown skin. It’s not too warm. Not too cool. Not too pink. Not too brown. It looks quite pink swatched but on the lips it’s more of a rosy nude that’s very easy to wear. I can easily get away with wearing Matte Naked alone but I love how it looks with my NYX Nutmeg lip liner for a little definition.

Matte Naked applies smoothly and evenly with full coverage and a creamy, lightweight texture that’s comfortable to wear. I didn’t find the formula to be drying at all and it wore quite well on my imperfect lips. The color does catch on to flakes a bit (so be sure to exfoliate) but it doesn’t really settle into lip lines, bleed or feather. Matte Naked is the kind of nude lip you can toss on without being glued to a mirror all day. It wears comfortably for around 3-4 hours and fades well into a light stain. Sometimes matte nudes can make your lips look awful as they wear away but Matte Naked leaves my soft, nude lip look in tact even after it’s gone. If you come across the new Milani Color Statement Matte Lipstick display I highly recommend picking up Matte Naked. It’s a wonderful everyday lipstick that just about anyone can wear!
