New Milani Color Statement Matte Lipsticks!

Honestly, I need more lipsticks like I need a hole in the head. But is that going to stop me from sharing new releases with you guys? Nope! I feel like I’ve been waiting forever since Milani announced all the new spring goodies so I didn’t hesitate one bit to snatch up some of the new Matte Color Statement Lipsticks. Just look at how pretty they are!

In terms of packaging, the Color Statement Matte Lipsticks look the same as the regular line but they have a little twist. Instead of that rather strong watermelon scent Milani opted for a softer, sweeter vanilla scent that smells so good! I didn’t mind the watermelon scent much but I like vanilla so much better. It just feels a little more grown up.

Currently, there are 8 shades in the Matte lineup and unlike the Matte Lip Arts these aren’t limited edition. So that means you won’t have to hunt for them much longer. Yay! I feel like the search and “thrill of the chase” kinda dampens the whole experience sometimes. Makeup should be fun. And easy to find, darn it!

Anywho! I picked up 5 of the shades including:

All of them swatched well and felt pretty creamy so I’m eager to start testing them up and see how they live up to my beloved Color Statement formula. I’m also curious to see how Matte Innocence will look on me. I started to avoid it in the store but I decided at the last minute that i’d eventually review the entire line for you guys. Balls-y, right? Honestly though, it didn’t turn out to be as scary as I thought. I haven’t tried it on yet but in person it’s actually a bit darker and more brown than the swatch below. Fingers crossed I can pull it off!
