Milani Sugar Plum Easyliner Review

Milani Sugar Plum Easyliner Lip Liner

Big lips seem to be all the rage right now (thanks to Kylie Jenner) but some of us have been sporting full pouts since before it was cool. No shade, Kylie. But you’re new to this. We’re true to this!

Overdrawing and contouring your lips for the gods isn’t a new trend. Especially if you have naturally full lips like mine. Sure, they’re great for rocking the hell out of some lippies but they lack definition. Which kinda sucks. Lip colors never quite stay in place. Bold colors look a little less dramatic because they aren’t as neat and precise. It just takes the fun out of everything sometimes. That’s why I LOVE lip liners! They bring my lips to life and create the most perfect canvas. ‘Cause what’s a killer lipstick without killer lips? Boring!

My current fave (and new holy grail) lip liner is the Milani Sugar Plum Easyliner and, honey, you need it! I’ve been wearing it nonstop since I got my hands on it! Sugar Plum is a deep plum wine with a slight red undertone and satin finish. It’s a spot on dupe for MAC’s Vino lip pencil but it’s smoother, creamier and easier on the lips. Not to mention a fraction of the price, too!

Sugar Plum applies smoothly and evenly with intense pigmentation and a creamy texture that doesn’t tug or drag across the lips. Some lip liners can be a little drying and uncomfortable but Sugar Plum is incredibly creamy and feels great. Not drying at all! It actually wears very well. It doesn’t settle into lip lines or emphasize flakes so you can wear this beauty as a lipstick too! Sugar Plum lasts for around 6 hours before fading into a rather intense stain that’ll last all day. I honestly can’t rave about Sugar Plum enough! It’s one of the creamiest lip liners I’ve tried yet (sorry MAC!) and I’m dying to get my hands on more. I really hope Milani adds more colors to the range very, very soon. If you happen to come across the Sugar Plum Easyliner in stores RUN don’t walk!

So glad I saw this post. I also have to use lipliner. My lips are full, and the bottom one lacks a strong line, so lipsticks will smear without liner. I’ve been looking around for a plum red lipliner to go with some of my vampier lipsticks, and will definitely check this one out. Thanks for the rec!
