While drugstore brands continue to make leaps and bounds in terms of quality they still have a tendency to be a little late. The whole argan oil craze has been done to death by just about every brand possible but Physicians Formula decided to hop on the wagon anyway. Better late than never, right?
The new Argan Wear Ultra-Nourishing Argan Oil may seem a little “been there, done that” but I can assure you that it’s done right and right on time. It contains nothing pure argan oil and comes housed in a beautiful brown tinted glass bottle with a gold plastic top.
Similar to the Josie Maran version, it features a dropper like applicator that makes it easy to get just the right amount of oil to coat your skin, hair and nails. The Ultra-Nourishing Argan Oil is also just as hydrating as the Josie Maran version but it has a slightly finer texture so it absorbs a little faster and doesn’t leave any greasy residue behind. Honestly, I like the Physicians Formula just a little more because I don’t have to wait minutes for it to absorb or not feel a little greasy.
I know Physicians Formula can be a little on the expensive side for drugstore stuff. Okay, a lot. But the Ultra-Nourishing Argan Oil is an excellent alternative to the Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil and it’s a hell of a lot cheaper, too. The Josie Maran version will set you back $48 for a 1.7 oz bottle whereas the Physicians Formula version only costs $15 for 1.0 oz. Plus, you can always catch a great sale or use your $3.50 off $10 coupon at Ulta. Either way, I absolutely recommend it. The Ultra-Nourishing Argan Oil is another great way to winter-proof your skin!
