The sun is finally out! I can’t even explain how great it feels to breathe in all that luscious sunshine and crisp air after that frosty chill of a winter we had. Just beautiful! I’ve already enjoyed some time at the park and now I’m craving a nice, cool frozen margarita. ‘Cause frozen margaritas are just amazing on sunny spring days for some reason lol. You know what else goes great with bright, sunny days? Bright orange lips!
I’ve been playing around with my Rouge Volupte #15 Extreme Coral lipstick and it just screams sunny days and good vibes. It’s so damn bright! But it’s pretty wearable at the same time–if that makes any sense.
Extreme Coral is a bright orange red with a warm undertone and juicy, glossy sheen. It’s incredibly luxe from start to finish with its beautiful solid gold trimmings and faint floral scent. And did I mention it’s pretty wearable? Yeah! Extreme Coral looks amazing on pale and deep complexions and it’s rather easy to sheer out for a light stain. It’s the kind of lipstick that makes a statement so you can keep your makeup extremely simple or even go bare faced.
Extreme Coral applies very easily with a thin, almost weightless texture that’s a bit slippery but works well with my dry lips. The formula is very comfortable to wear and the color doesn’t seem to emphasize flakes or settle into my lip lines much. Of course, there’s some minor bleeding and feathering (because of the emollient texture) but it really helps to apply a light layer. Extreme Coral is crazy pigmented so there’s no need to swipe like Swiper to achieve the intensity you see in the tube.
I know $36 is a lot to drop on a lipstick but I assure you that Extreme Coral is a worthy investment! It wears rather nicely for around 3-5 hours before fading into a bright, juicy orange stain while leaving your lips feeling soft. And the packaging? * swoons * Imagine pulling that sexy beast out of your purse for touch ups!
