When I think of everyday colors, I immediately think of soft pinks, easy going nudes and muted purples. But it seems as if I’ve finally come across a red that can easily slip into my everyday routine. Which is pretty shocking because me and red lips don’t usually mix.
But the Mandore Satin Lip Pencil just seems to work for me. It’s not one of those intimidating reds where it needs a full face of makeup to look its fiercest. Nah. Mandore is more easy going and less in your face. It’s a muted brick red with a slight warm undertone and creamy satin finish. The perfect everyday red for red lip junkie or red newbies, like myself.
Like the color, the formula is pretty easy to wear. Thanks to the chubby pencil design application is a breeze and always precise–even for my full lips. Mandore effortlessly glides across the lips with a smooth, creamy lightweight texture and full coverage in a single swipe. The formula is lightly moisturizing so it feels good upon application and wears comfortably throughout the day. The color is also rather easy on the lips as it doesn’t seem to settle into lip lines or emphasize flakes. I didn’t really experience any bleeding or feathering either. Mandore wears quite well for around 3-5 hours before fading into a light stain that likes to linger for a couple hours.
Red is usually the last color in my stash that I reach for but lately I’ve been keeping Mandore in my work bag because: 1) it goes with just about everything and 2) it’s so darn fuss free. And who doesn’t want a red lipstick that’s low maintenance? Whether you’re a hardcore red lip junkie or just branching out I think the NARS Mandore Satin Lip Pencil is an excellent lipstick to have in your stash!
