Too Faced Melted Metallic Jelly Lipstick Review

Too Faced Melted Metallic Jelly Lipstick

Too Faced is seriously trying to take over my makeup collection with all these new lipsticks and palettes! Every time I see a new product peek on Instagram my wallet cringes because it just knows that I’m going to be interested. Take the new Melted Metal Metallic Lipsticks, for example. When I saw those delicious lip swatches I just knew I had to own at least 3 of them.

Im not the hugest metallic lip fan but after liking the original Too Faced Melted Lipsticks so much there was no way I could resist these. And it’s a good thing I didn’t either! These aren’t your typical “in your face” glitter bomb uber frosty lipsticks from way back in the day. The Melted Metal Metallic Lipsticks are more of a light reflective kinda metallic. It’s very easy on the lips and more on the subtle side.

But when you pair that subtle metallic goodness with the beautiful shades Too Faced cooked up it’s something kinda special. I’ve been wearing Melted Metallic Jelly for almost a week now and, my goodness, it’s so beautiful! Melted Metallic Jelly is a vibrant plum berry with a slight red undertone and juicy sheen.

If you plan on rushing out to try the Melted Metal Metallic Lipsticks because you think they’re like the original Melted Lipsticks you might want to pump your breaks. While the 2 formulas are similar there’s still some striking differences between the two.

For starters, the Melted Metal Metallic Lipsticks feel (and wear) much more like a gloss than a lipstick. The texture is thinner and slightly more lightweight than the original Melted Lipsticks and there’s a juicy sheen that lasts from start to finish–there’s no drying down or setting here. The colors in the Melted Metal Metallic line are also sheerer than the original shades. Melted Metallic Jelly seemed to be the most pigmented of the 3 I hauled with semi-opaque coverage.

But I still love it! Because it’s just so darn easy to wear and that’s saying a lot for a metallic lipstick. Melted Metallic Jelly applies smoothly and evenly with ease and wears quite comfortably for around 3-5 hours. The color didn’t emphasize flakes or settle into lip lines but I did notice some minor bleeding as it wore away. Nothing a little lip liner can’t fix though!

Overall, I’m more than pleased with my first Melted Metal Metallic rodeo ride. Melted Metallic Jelly is a beautiful plum berry that just about anyone can pull off. Who knew metallic lipsticks could be so wearable?

Looks gorgeous on you! I have Metallic Jelly and totally love it !!! It’s such a beautiful shimmery, complex shade that will flatter many skintones. It’s probably my fave out of all the Metallics

So far, it’s my fave too. I thought I’d go craziest over Metallic Violet but I haven’t even tried it yet because I’ve been wearing Jelly nonstop lol. It’s such a beautiful color!
