I don’t know about you but I love me some summer collections. They’re always so bright, shimmery and bold. Just what I like! Unfortunately, every summer collection can’t be stellar, though. Take this year’s MAC Wash & Dry collection for example. I loved the packaging but the product lineup left me a little underwhelmed. Can you believe I’m actually still contemplating ordering a lipstick?!
Yeah, this was a hard collection for me to get jiggy with. But, as always, a trip to the counter swayed me on a couple of things. Like the Delicates Studio Sculpt Bronzing Powder and Colour Matters Technakohl Eyeliner.
Well technically just Delicates because I knew from the start Colour Matters was coming home with me! I became a big fan of the Technakohl formula when I polished off both Auto de Blu and Jade Way so when I saw this bright lime beauty in the promo pics I made plans for it. Colour Matters is a little on the sheer side but the color is so bright that it just pops against my complexion. So far, I’ve been mixing it with my blue and green eyeliners to create funky new colors but I’m gonna rock in on my waterline soon for a statement eye.
Although the Delicates Studio Sculpt Bronzing Powder wasn’t on my list I’ve still been enjoying it. The pretty pale bronze base and fine gold shimmer caught my eye and had me curious to swatch it. Which was nothing but trouble, of course. Like Colour Matters, Delicates is rather sheer but it has a prominent yellow golden glow that looks beautiful on my cheekbones and down the bridge of my nose. I actually like that the formula is more on the sheer side because it makes Delicates pretty versatile. You can sweep a little on for a soft everyday glow or you can build it up for a more pronounced sun kissed look. The choice is yours!
