Saturday Morning Skincare

Chanel Lait Confort Cleansing Milk

If you follow me on Snapchat, then you’ve probably noticed that I’ve been wearing more makeup lately. Usually, I’d just fill in my brows, toss on some liner,  lashes and lipstick. And if I have a few extra minutes I’ll add some BB Cream and a highlight. Lately though, I’ve been full faced Fancie. Foundation, concealer, highlight, contour. The whole nine! Of course, I don’t do it daily partly because I’m still kinda lazy but mostly because I like to give my skin a break.

And give it a good deep cleansing! One of my favorite things to do on Saturday (and sometimes Sunday) mornings is pamper my skin. I especially love doing this when I’ve been wearing a lot of makeup because it helps avoid clogged pore and breakouts. Before applying an exfoliating mask, I like wash my face with an old favorite, the Chanel Lait Confort Creamy Cleansing Milk. It’s a pricey little bugger ($45) but I like to keep a bottle on hand for a number of reasons.

  1. The formula is incredibly gentle. Lait Confort Creamy Cleansing Milk is suitable for the face and eyes so there’s no stinging or irritation here. It gently cleanses the skin without stripping it or making it feel tight or dry.
  2. It’s also a makeup remover. Lait Confort dispenses as a thick cream but once you massage it in, it quickly transforms to a thin, milky texture (hence the name) that doubles as a cleansing oil. I usually use coconut oil to remove my makeup but I can actually skip this step as Lait Confort removes all of my eye makeup, foundation and even lipstick (though it tastes gross) with ease. Just massage for a minute or so and rinse. Done!
  3. It smells soo good……and doesn’t irritate my skin! I have insanely sensitive skin all over but especially my face. To give you an example, I can’t even use certain detergents (Tide) and regular soaps and lotions on my face are a recipe for disaster. So I wasn’t all that pleased with the noticeably strong floral scent of Lait Confort the first time I tried it. However, I’ve been using this stuff for about 2 years now and I haven’t spotted any breakouts. It actually makes my skin look pretty darn good!

The Chanel Lait Confort Creamy Cleansing Milk is pretty much all you’d ever need in life wrapped in one pretty package. It’s completely worth every penny! Before taking the plunge, I recommend stopping by your local Chanel counter for a sample so you can see for yourself!

  1. Haha full faced Fancie: I LIKE THAT!

I’ve been reading some great reviews about this one, and suffice to say it piqued my interest because the texture seems quite unique! I’ll definitely have to see if I can get a sample somewhere. Chanel samples are kinda hard to come by in this country!

Lol thank you! I hope you’re able to find a sample because I think you’ll like this cleanser. It’s nothing like anything else I’ve tried and I love how gentle it is but it still removes makeup. It’s definitely worth a try!

Glad this works so well for you, Fancie! And as for the price, it’s not too bad because it’s a cleanser AND makeup remover AND Chanel, right?

When you break it down that way the price makes perfect sense! LOL
