TGIF! My best friend is in town for a few more days and I’m off this weekend so I’m feeling great and life just seems easy right now. Can’t wait to knock out this last shift and get some dranks! But before I go have probably a little too much fun I want to make your your Friday a little easier too. So here’s a quick round up of my Too Faced Melted Metallic Lipstick Haul!
The Melted Metallic Lipsticks are similar to the original Melted Lipsticks but they’re still in totally different ballparks. The Melted Metallic Lipsticks are thinner and have a bit more sheen along with a subtle metallic shift. Too Faced markets them as liquid lipsticks but they feel more like glosses to me as they’re mostly sheer (yet buildable), never fully set and don’t last too long (3-5 hours). However, I still enjoy the formula! I do like the original Melted Lipsticks a little better but the Melted Metallic Lipsticks are still quite comfortable to wear and look great on the lips.
Melted Metallic Jelly is a vibrant plum berry with a slight red undertone. It’s the most pigmented and longest wearing of the 3; lasting between 3-5 hours and leaving behind a very intense plum stain. Jelly didn’t emphasize any imperfections or settle into lip lines either.
Melted Metallic Violet is a bright violet with slight pink undertones. It was the sheerest of the bunch but buildable to full coverage with a couple of layers. The color doesn’t emphasize flakes or settle into lip lines and lasts for about 2-3 hours before fading into a nice stain.
Melted Metallic Dream House is a bright fuchsia-pink with a cool undertone. The color wears for around 3 hours before fading into an intense hot pink stain. Dream House does tend to slightly emphasize dry spots and settle into lip lines so I recommend lining the lips all over or using a primer.
