L’Oreal Infallible Pro Spray & Set Review

L'Oreal Infallible Pro Spray & Set

Summer is pretty much here so it’s time to start taking some extra measures to ensure our makeup lasts all day. I don’t know about you but I’m not spending an hour in the mirror just to have it all slide off in the summer heat. No ma’am! That’s why I’ve been keeping the new L’Oreal Infallible Pro Spray & Set on my vanity for the last month. This little spray is pretty powerful!

L'Oreal Infallible Pro Spray & Set

The Infallible Pro Spray & Set looks like your typical setting spray and comes in a small, chubby rubbery matte bottle. It has a very fine mist and slight cooling effect with a subtle fresh scent that’s quite refreshing. The nozzle has a habit of dispensing unevenly sometimes and leaving noticeable droplets but thankfully the formula absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave behind any residue. I usually use setting sprays after setting my concealer and foundation to prevent my makeup from looking cakey or too powdery but the Infallible Pro Spray & Set really helps my makeup lasts throughout the day too.

On a typical day, I apply my makeup around 1-2 p.m., hit my laptop, run some errands, go to work and then make my way back home between 10 p.m. and midnight. When I use the Infallible Pro Spray & Set, my makeup still looks fresh when I get home. No faded foundation. Or caked up concealer. None of that!

A lot of reviews compare the Infallible Pro Spray & Set to the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray and I can definitely understand why. It’s been a little while since I’ve used All Nighter but I remember it having a cooling effect and feeling feeling slightly sticky as it dried down–very similar to the Infallible Pro Spray & Set. Though it seems pricey (around $17) it’s a great affordable alternative to Urban Decay ($30) and if you keep an eye for coupons and sales you can find it for much cheaper. I happened to get lucky by snagging a $5 Target Beauty Box that included this wonder spray but I wouldn’t have a problem spending a few extra bucks for it when I run out. Which is going to happen!

To avoid paying full price for the L’Oreal Infallible Pro Spray & Set sign up for the CVS Beauty Club for helpful (and addictive) beauty coupons and sales. Or you can use the $3 off $10 coupon at Ulta + partake in the current BOGO sale.

Thanks for the tip, Fancie! I have the UD All Nighter Spray (got a travel size) and it works well, but I prefer to use a primer and powder/blotting papers, and will use a spray occasionally, like for a long day of client visits, or when I was bridesmaid. I mean it works, and it’s not that heavy, but I always feel like I’m spraying hairspray on my face, and my pores can’t quite breathe as well. Do you think the L’Oreal one is lighter than the UD one?

Just a little bit. This one doesn’t feel as sticky as it dries down

I always wish I could use these… But I’m deathly afraid of the alcohol in these sprays! I’ve had horrible cystic acne from alcohol and other irritating ingredients, so I try to avoid them altogether. UD Deslick Spray worked so well on me! It’s nice to know there’s a drugstore alternative – perhaps I’d use it for a special event. Otherwise, I just stick by the ol’ blot and powder.

Ouch, I’m so sorry to hear that! At least you found one that works for you. But I feel y . I’d stick to good ol powders and such too. They work just as well!
