What’s your best budget beauty buy?

Milani Color Statement Lipsticks

It’s beauty challenge time, ladies! Today, we’re gonna discuss getting the best bang for our buck. You know. That one beauty product you can’t live without and still can’t believe it’s so cheap. Last year, I spent a little more time in the drugstore aisles so it was kinda tricky for me to narrow it down but I had to go with the Milani Color Statement Lipsticks. Milani has created quite an amazing line of lipsticks that’s less than $10.

The Color Statement Lipsticks are creamy, pigmented, long wearing and come in a large variety of shades and finishes. Of course, some shades wear better than others but the quality seems to be pretty consistent throughout the line. Most of the shades I’ve tried have been dry lip friendly and easy to wear–even the mattes. The formula reminds me a lot of MAC lipsticks but at a fraction of the price. There’s a reason Milani Color Statement Lipsticks have such a cult following!

  1. I’ve never tried one, although I’ve been wanting to. I pretty much only buy budget, but of those, my can’t-live-withouts are my NYX Setting Spray and Milani Baked Blushes.

I can’t believe you’ve never tried a Milani lipstick. You’ve been missing out girl! They’re really great quality. I love the blushes too. I think the formula rivals some higher end brands and the colors look great on just about everyone. I’m also a big fan of NYX setting spray . Or at least the matte one. I haven’t tried the dewy one yet but it’s definitely on my list!

The blushes are out of this world, for sure! If the lipsticks are that good, next time I’m in the market for a new shade, I’ll check. =D

Yesss they are! And the lipsticks are just as good too. I hope you like them!

Yes, the Milani lippies are great choices! Right now, my fave budget buy is Colour Pop. If you like purple lippies, I suggest checking out Grind, Fern, and Leather. For shadows, I love Coconut (teal) and Kimono (blue) – both are crazy pigmented. I think Monster highlighter might be interesting on you — it’s a very strong duo chrome opalescent pink shimmer, might give you the Atlanta housewives effect 🙂

Ooo I’m gonna look up some pics and swatches of Monster. That sounds really pretty! I usually go for gold/bronze highlights so it’ll be nice to try something different. I already have Fern, Grind and Leather in my cart along with Brills. I’m such a purple junkie lol. I also have Coconut in my cart because I loveeee the color. It looks like an eyeshadow version of my fave liner NARS Abbey Road. You can probably tell by now that I have a cart full of stuff over at CP just waiting to be ordered. Just as soon as I stop buying other stuff LOL

OMG, as soon as I swatched Monster, I thought of you! I ran to youtube and found Jackie Aina’s video on Colour Pop highlighters- she applies Monster in the beginning, then again towards the end. Stunning! She looks lit up, Atlanta housewives style 🙂
