Blurring Things Up with Yves Saint Laurent

Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat Blur Primer, Touche Éclat Blur Perfector

Influenster has been so awesome lately! They’ve been helping me stay on track with my water intake and recently they sent me these two Yves Saint Laurent goodies to blur and perfect my complexion. A girl could always use some blurring some I’m happy to receive these fancy pants perfectors.

Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat Blur Primer, Touche Éclat Blur Perfector

I received both the Touche Éclat Blur Primer and the Blur Perfector from Influenster to test out for you guys. They’re both designed to diminish the look of pores and imperfections. Sounds good right?

Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat Blur Primer

First, you prime your skin with the Touche Éclat Blur Primer. Yves Saint Laurent describes it as:

A lightweight primer that blurs imperfections and boosts the radiance of foundation. Touche Éclat preps the skin for foundation application, creating an improved, refined appearance: pores seem to be minimized, sin texture feels smoother, and skintone is more even. It’s enriched with four nourishing oils–corn oil, apricot kernel oil, passiflora oil, and rice bran oil–to leave skin felling incredibly soft without a greasy residue. Packed with blur technology, this universal primer provides a subtle, golden shimmer for ultimate luminosity.

It seems as if the Touche Éclat Blur Primer may be similar to my favorite primer, NYX Honey Dew Me Up, with some added blurring capabilities. I’m eager to try it out and see which one I like better!

Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat Blur Perfector

Once you’ve got your skin all primed, you follow up with the Touche Éclat Blur Perfector. Which is quite an interesting product. Yves Saint Laurent describes it as:

A blur perfector compact that perfects the skin while retaining its luminous glow. This portable perfector is Yves Saint Laurent’s first ever blur perfector encased within a compact. It transforms form a balm to a powder upon application to soften the skin’s imperfections–creating a transparent yet subtle, rosy-glow effect. Use it alone as an all over complexion perfector, to set makeup or as a mattifying touch up to sweep away shine and hide imperfections. Featuring one universal shade that complements all skin types, it instantly minimizes the look of pores so that skin feels smoother and the complexion appears more even.

Translation: The Touche Éclat Blur Perfector is pretty much everything under the kitchen sink. Since it’s a “universal shade that complements all skin types” it:

  • Can be used alone to perfect the complexion or
  • Applied on top of your favorite foundation as a setting powder or
  • As a touch up compact to control shine and oil throughout the day

I actually just swiped this on and I’m kinda digging it so far. I’m sporting bare skin today to give myself a little break so it’s hard to really get the full effect but it does make my skin look smoother and seems to blur my pesky smile lines too. The Touche Éclat Blur Perfector just may be a keeper!
