What if I told you, you could wash 20+ brushes and 2 sponges in under 30 minutes? I’m not playing, girl! There’s a reason everyone has been ordering those expensive brush cleaning gloves for $40. They seriously cut cleansing time in half! However, I wasn’t about to shell out over 2 MAC lipsticks worth of money for rubber gloves so I set out for alternatives. Originally, I went to Sephora in search of their solid Beauty Beauty cleanser dupe that comes with a ridged brush pad. Of course, it was sold out but I did spot something interesting to try instead.
It was the small pink Sephora Precision Pore Cleansing Pad filled with little tiny spikes and ridges in the top quarter half. It’s designed to deep cleanse pores on the face but my first thought was to use it on the mountain of brushes I’d been using to paint my face for work. And it worked like a charm! My ultra dense ELF Powder Brush gunked up with foundation? Clean in under 2 minutes. My caked up gel eyeliner brushes? Spotless in a sec. This thing is heaven sent! Sure, it’s a little small (since it’s designed for the face) but the Sephora Precision Pore Cleansing Pad really gets the job done. Plus, it’ll only set you back 6 bucks so you can load up on em have squeaky clean brushes for a lifetime. Or you can buy one for your face, too. Which is actually what I’m considering. This thing has pages of glowing reviews about how well it gets the gunk out of pores so it’s worth a try either way!
