June was a crazy, crazy month. Lots of life changes. Lots of good times. Lots of new makeup. I was pretty busy but on the upside I had a lot of opportunities to get all dolled up. So I indulged in a little retail therapy and decided to try some new things as well as shop my stash for good time’s sake. Here’s a rundown on the products I loved last month:
Urban Decay Bittersweet Afterglow Blush Believe it or not, purple blush is very pretty! I love me some purple so picking up Bittersweet was a no brainer. Initially, I got it for the color but it turns out the formula is divine. It has a soft texture and it’s soo easy to blend! Bittersweet is probably the easiest purple blush to wear on the market.
Black Radiance Toasted Almond Artisan Color Baked Blush Summer is all about natural makeup so I found myself reaching for Toasted Almond quite a lot. It’s adds a flush of color and warmth to the cheeks and makes me look like I’ve been playing and smiling in the sun all the morning. The color really brightens my face and the formula is super soft and buttery too.
Becca Blushed Copper Shimmering Skin Perfector This highlight is a beauty from start to finish. The packaging is stunning, the imprint is beautiful and the glow this baby gives is drop dead gorgeous. I can’t get enough of it! I think it’ll work well for most skintones but I think WOC need this. Like today!
NARS Pure Radiance Tinted Moisturizer No matter how many new foundations I buy I always go back to favorites eventually and this is like holy grail status. It never seems to leave my routine because it’s so lightweight yet it still evens my complexion and makes my skin look flawless. I love that Polynesia is a perfect match for my skin too. It’s great for my “no makeup” looks.
MAC Cyber World Lip Liner You’d be surprise how many lipsticks pair well with vampy purple lip liners. I guess deep purple is the new black! I’ve been wearing Cyber World with just about everything–Matte Royal, African Violet, L.U.V., Copenhagen and the lists goes on and on. It looks great with pretty much all colors. I’m already plotting on a replacement since I’m about halfway through it yet seriously addicted.
MAC Matte Royal Lipstick Who knew blurple lipsticks were so fun? I fell in love with Matte Royal the second I saw the promo pics but I had no idea it would look as good as it does. It looks amazing against my complexion! Hell, it looks amazing on a variety of complexions. Definitely worth a trip out of your comfort zone!
Yes to Coconut Cooling Lip Oil I finally spotted this bad boy at Target and snatched it right up since I know a few people who love it. Turns out, the formula is pretty darn good! This lip oil is hydrating with a slight cooling effect and makes my lips feel baby soft.
Rimmel Bootleg Brown ScandalEyes Shadow Stick This has become my best friend for a quick smoky eye when I’m in a rush. It’s so easy to apply and the formula is super creamy so it blends like a dream. I also love that it sets to a powder like finish so it stays put and doesn’t crease on me.
NARS Abbey Road Larger Than Life Eyeliner You probably already know by now that Abbey Road is my go to liner for adding a touch of color to my eyes to make them pop. It’s a shimmering bold teal that brightens up any look and makes my appear bigger too. If you love bold liners you need Abbey Road!
