Annnnnnd we’ve received our Greige Collection goodies! Woohoo! We finally got them in last week, thank goodness, because I’m sure the good people over at Nordstrom were tried of that crazy girl from Macy’s always coming over every afternoon to feel up the new Greige testers. I just couldn’t help myself! It started with the new Long-Wear Cream Shadow Sticks and now it’s extended to pretty much everything else. This collection is just gorgeous!
The star of the show, of course, is the Greige Eye Shadow Palette which includes 8 shades of greige from shimmer to matte for $70. I have to admit that it’s a bit pricey for an eyeshadow palette but it’s the sexiest palette I’ve seen in a long time — and I’m not just saying that because I work there lol. The shimmering shades are downright stunning and the mattes are soft, pigmented and easy to work with to create a standout look. I’m dying to get my hands on one so I can create a look to wear with my NYX and MAC Stone lipsticks. I just know the combo will be stunning!
Along with the Greige palette and creamy Long-Wear Shadow Sticks, Bobbi also whipped up 3 Intense Pigment Liner palettes to define your eyes and make them pop including:
- Midnight rich navy, bright mid-blue and bold black
- Black Plum rich steel grey, ripe plum and bold black grey
- Forest smokey brown grey, deep emerald green and rich black brown
All of them crazy pigmented (as the name implies) dry but become even more intense and gel-like when you wet your brush with a little water or MAC Fix+. The quality is pretty darn amazing and the colors are suitable for all complexions. I want all of them!
There’s also 4 Rich Lip Colors in the collection including:
- Crimson rich red wine
- Old Hollywood bright cherry red
- Rose Blossom pink rose
- Bikini Pink soft white pink
I believe that all of the shades are part of the permanent collection minus Rose Blossom which we haven’t received yet. I hope we get it in soon because the swatch online looks really pretty!
What’s a collection without repromotes? Bobbi also threw in her Pink Brightening Brick which she describes as:
Your go-to product for a lit-from-within glow, Pink Brightening Brick combines the warmth of a bronzer and the soft flush of a blush to give light skin tones gorgeous, subtle luminosity.
Basically, it’s a pale neutral pink highlighting powder with a mix of shimmer and matte pink toned squares to brighten your complexion and add a nice glow. It’s a little too pale for my taste but I like to use the shimmering shades as eyeshadow. It’s like having a mini Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette on hand.
Lastly, are the nail colors which caught my eye surprisingly. I usually like brighter, bolder nail colors but I’m really digging Greige, a muted grey beige in a creme finish. It looks like it’ll match my greige lipsticks perfectly which makes it all too tempting. Smokey Topaz isn’t too bad either with it’s soft shimmer. Both would make great shades for a classic fall manicure.
Will you be grabbing any pieces from the Bobbi Brown Greige Collection?
