Wet n Wild Hollywood Boulevard Shimmer Palette Review
For as long as I can remember, people have always seemed to avoid buying really cheap stuff. You know what they say. “You get what you pay for.” However, when it comes to drugstore makeup today I would say toss that logic out of the window. Sure there’s still some duds here and there that just don’t work but there’s also a crap ton of gems hiding in those drugstore aisles that’ll leave you wondering, “Why the heck did I pay so much before?!”
That’s how I’m feeling about the Wet n Wild Hollywood Boulevard Shimmer Palette. It’s a new highlighting palette from the Fergie Centerstage Collection that’ll have you looking like a glowing bronze goddess fresh off a date with Hercules (or Zeus himself) for a mere 6 bucks.
I know you’re probably thinking, “This thing is probably loaded with chunky glitter that’ll have me looking crazy.” Nope! Not at all, girl. Hollywood Boulevard is a soft warm gold with a slight hint of pink and loads of fine shimmer that doesn’t emphasize pores or reflect like disco balls when the light hits your cheeks.
Nah, Hollywood Boulevard just gives a beautiful glow that’s rather impressive for under $10. The texture is soft, smooth and easy to apply and blend. You can lightly sweep it on for a soft candlelit glow or really swirl up in there for a full on golden glamour look. It’s your world!
The moment I swatched Hollywood Boulevard I knew I would love it because it looked amazing against my complexion but the magic happened when I tried this baby on. My goodness, this thing makes my cheeks look amazing! You can see the glow from across the room but not in a garish or glittery way. Hollywood Boulevard has more of the, “Oooo you’re absolutely glowing today!” kinda effect. And the best part? It lasts me all day. Even after a long day of work, I can still look in the mirror and catch a glimpse of that gorgeous glow before bed.
It took me a little time to snap out of the spell of my beloved Becca Blushed Copper Shimmering Skin Perfector but I have to say this baby is just as good. If you don’t want to break the bank on a gorgeous glow then I suggest you take your butt to your local drugstore and pick up Wet n Wild Hollywood Boulevard Shimmer Palette!

I prefer this to all my Becca highlighters, yes even the goddess that is Champagne Pop!! Seriously this thing is so amazing and I have a light skin tone so that just shows it can look amazing on ANYONE!! Hands down one of the best products overall the drugstore has to offer!!!
I keep telling people don’t knock this until you try it! I must have walked past it a million times until someone swatched it on Instagram and it was all over from there lol. This is an amazing highlight! I haven’t touched my Becca one since either lol
This is coming in the mail to me next week -yes, I’ve been tracking (stalking) my order LOL! I can’t tell you how many times I bypassed this in the drugstores, thinking it was some horrible glitter bomb that would turn me into a disco ball, but after seeing so many rave reviews and swatches (including yours), I couldn’t resist any longer.
