Color Your Eyes 50 Shades of Greige with Bobbi Brown

Bobbi Brown Greige Eye Palette

Greige is the new nude! Bobbi isn’t usually one to jump on trends (like contouring) but I’m glad that she’s been open to the new wave of greige. The iconic mix of grey and beige took us by storm with alluring lipsticks but Bobbi has transformed it into a fall collection for eyes. ‘Cause you can’t have greige lips without matching greige eyes. Don’t be silly girl!

Bobbi Brown Greige Eye Palette

Her latest limited edition palette, Greige, features 8 shadows in a variety of shades and finishes of grey and beige to help you create natural everyday looks or kick it up a notch for nighttime party looks. They include:

  • Ivory Eye Shadow a creamy white (permanent)
  • Brown Haze Shimmer Wash Eye Shadow a medium smoky topaz
  • Twinkle Sparkle Eye Shadow an off white sparkle
  • Slate Eye Shadow a medium grey (permanent)
  • Greystone Eye Shadow a mid-tone grey taupe
  • Earth Metal Sparkle Eye Shadow an intense grey sparkle
  • Greige Eye Shadow a mid-tone ashy brown
  • Fog Eye Shadow a deep slate grey

While I’m not the biggest fan of the price point ($70) I think Greige is a pretty solid palette. It’s like an edgy twist on the classic everyday neutral palettes you already have in your stash. Here’s how Bobbi recommends using it:

Sweep Ivory Eye Shadow from lash line to brow bone. Next, dust any of the medium shades on the lower lid; if you choose to layer shades, start with a matte shadow then add shimmer or sparkle shadows on top. Use Fog Eye Shadow to line eyes. For a more dramatic look, pair any shade of Intense Pigment Liner.

In my case, I would pop Greystone on my lids, use Greige as a transition shade and pop Brown Haze Shimmer or Fog in the crease for added definition. Or I would use Greige as a transition shade, smoke Fog onto my lids and into my crease and pop some sparkle onto my lid with Earth Metal for a sparkly smoky eye. The possibilities are endless!

The shadows actually look really, really pretty. Cool neutral lovers are going to go gaga over it. I think “Greige” is the ugliest, most boring color name in the world, so I wish BB had named the collection something else.

    1. LOL I think she could have been a little more creative but I really like her vision with this collection. This palette makes me drool every time I see it lol

Lovin’ the pigmentation on this palette. The price point is too high for me & I’d prolly forget to use it but it’s so pretty. Glad you featured it 🙂

    1. I think the price is what kills it. The packaging is sleek and simple. The colors are versatile and work for a variety of complexions. But that price!! No one wants to pay $70 for 8 shadows, Bobbi. Especially after the 7 pan Telluride palette was only $52. This was a huge price hike!

I love the packaging but in general I am not a lover of greys or cool tone shadows so it will be a pass.

    1. There’s SO many palettes coming out this season that there’s bound to be a better one out there for you. Like that UD palette. I keep having dreams about it ?
