When NYX announced that they were releasing the Liquid Suede Cream Lipsticks I was pretty excited because I knew they’d be great. Their original liquid lipsticks, Soft Matte Lip Creams, have become an old school cult classic and a favorite of mine so I had to see how this new line compared to the good ol’ thing.
There comes a time in every makeup junkie’s life where she knows it’s time to reorganize and destash all her precious goodies. I’m currently at that point. Le sigh. The cleaning and reorganizing part isn’t all that fun. However, rediscovering all of the lost goodies long forgotten is way too much fun.
Just the other day I stumbled across some of my Chanel Glossimers that I’ve been collecting here and there for years now. Like most of my glosses, I’d buy a couple, wear them for a week or two and then they disappear for months on end. Now that I’ve dug them back up I can’t seem to stop playing with them because they’re oh so pretty.
Now that the fall collection is 20% off, I knew it was only a matter of time before ColourPop announced their upcoming holiday collection on Instagram. And it came right on time! This season, ColourPop has whipped up 3 limited edition sets with exclusive shades we’ve never seen before.
If you were late to class, like me (you, slacker, you), then you’re in luck ’cause ColourPop just announced on Instagram that they’re having a flash sale for Halloween. Hooray! From now until October 31st 12 PM PST (or until supplies last) you can save 20% off the entire Fall Collection — including the Forever Freshman and Back to Cool sets.
Seeing as though I’m now a ColourPop junkie, I didn’t hesitate to place an order for the Forever Freshman shadow set along with:
- Boy Band Super Shock Shadow
- Stereo Super Shock Shadow
- Central Perk Super Shock Shadow
- Swift Super Shock Cheek
- Get Paid Gel Creme Liner
- DTLA Gel Creme Liner
Will you be ordering anything during the ColourPop flash sale?
Ahh, fall. You gotta love it. The crisp, cool breeze in the air. Yellow, orange and red leaves cover the ground. And all those yummy shades of bronze and brown can be seen everywhere — making me think of chocolate. Like a creamy hot chocolate loaded with those tiny marshmallows and lots of whipped cream. So delicious!
The warm hues of fall and thoughts of hot chocolate makes me feel all fuzzy inside so I decided to whip up a chocolate inspired look for fall using my deliciously sweet Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palettes and a few of my current faves.
ELF has been coming out with a lot of nice products lately! Earlier this year, the budget beauty brand expanded their Studio line of brushes (which are amazing!) and now it looks like they’ll be adding even more brushes to their lineup. ELF recently dropped this teaser on Instagram and noted that they’ll popping up online at the end of the month so we should be seeing them any day now.
I’m a huge fan of ELF’s Studio Brushes so I’m definitely looking forward to trying these beauties. Do you think you’ll be ordering any of the new ELF brushes?
Ahhh removing your makeup. It’s so bittersweet. You have to wipe away that precious slay you crafted yet you finally get to touch your face and relax. The most important goal of removing your makeup though is to keep your skin clean, clear and healthy so it looks good under all your favorite products. Not covered in breakouts and such because your pores are clogged. That’s no good!
However, completely removing your makeup can be easier said that done sometimes. Especially if you’re a makeup junkie who likes to rock a full face. Getting off all of the foundation, waterproof eye makeup, concealer and indestructible liquid lipsticks can be tricky but certainly not impossible. Thanks to Danielle, The Style & Beauty Doctor, I’ve been double cleansing to thoroughly remove my makeup and it works like a charm — no matter how much cake I’m wearing.
I don’t know about you, but this holiday season is going to kill me. It seems as if I want a thing or two (or three) from every collection. Or worse, I want every palette I see. I’ve recently forced myself to start wearing eyeshadow again and let’s just say I’ve got the fever for it now. The latest palette to hit my wish list is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Self Made Palette that’s new and limited edition for the holiday season. It features 14 shades including:
