A Night out with the Disney Villains Collection

Walgreens Disney Villains Collection Inspired Look

You know what my idea of a great weekend is? A chilled bottled of wine, some delicious pasta and an Ancient Aliens marathon. I’m truly a simple creature. But every now and then, someone successfully drags me out of the house for a night out on the town. This past weekend, it was my mom and her friends as she invited my bff and I for a night of karaoke. My wild tequila induced nights are long behind me so I certainly wasn’t drunk enough for an open mic night but I had a ton of fun and got a chance to whip up a look using my new Walgreens Disney Villains Collection goodies.

Since it was a casual affair, I opted for a shimmering smokey eye with lots of lashes and a killer red lip while keeping everything natural and neutral. For my shimmering smokey look, I started off using Rimmel’s ScandalEyes Bootleg Brown Shadow Stick as a base. I applied it onto my lid and blended it slightly above my crease for a smokey effect. Next, I began patting some of Ursula’s Leviathan Shimmer Powder on top for a shimmering effect. The result was nice but not quite as sparkly as I was going for so, using my finger, I topped it off with some of the gorgeous chunky glitter from my Bobbi Brown Cement Sparkle Eye Shadow. Next, I brightened my inner corners a bit by adding Rimmel’s ScandalEyes Trespassing Taupe Shadow Stick and patting Leviathan Shimmer Powder on top. To complete my shimmering smokey eye, I lined my eyes with NARS Black Valley Eye Paint (lash line) and Abbey Road (waterline), applied my Kiss #11 falsies and added some Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara onto my bottom lashes.

Since my eyes were gonna be blingin’ and I planned on rocking a dramatic red lip I decided it was best to keep the rest of my makeup simple and natural. I started off by priming with Murad Invisiblur Perfecting Shield and then applying Bobbi Brown’s Golden Nude CC Cream all over to brighten my complexion and even my skin tone. Next, I corrected and concealed my under eyes using Bobbi Brown’s Very Deep Bisque Corrector and NARS Amande Radiant  Creamy Concealer and then set it all with my Bobbi Brown Golden Orange Loose Sheer Finish Setting Powder.

Then, I applied my Make Up For Ever Pro Finish Powder Foundation and moved on to highlighting and contouring. I contoured the hollows of my cheeks and down the sides of my nose using ColourPop Happy Hour Bronzer. Next, I highlighted my cheekbones and the bridge of my nose using ColourPop Avalon Highlighter and then applied Evil Queen’s Jealous Blush to the apples of my cheeks. Last, but not least, I contoured my lips using ColourPop’s Ellarie Lippie Pencil and then applied Ursula’s Majestic Lipstick on top for a killer graphic red lip.

If you’re still on the fence about the Walgreens Disney Villains Collection I’m here to reassure you that it isn’t just novelty makeup. The pieces are actually pretty great quality! I already knew Ursula’s Majestic Lipstick was the bomb diggity but Shimmer Powder and Jealous Blush are to die for. OMG! The Shimmer Powder may not have satisfied my chunky glitter craving but it looks beautiful in the inner corners and really made my eyes pop. It’s also quite the looker when worn alone on the lid with a little something smokey in the crease. Jealous Blush blew me away though. That thing is intense! I thought it would be super chalky and sheer but Jealous is crazy pigmented–to the point where I accidentally over-applied it at first. I had to mega sheer it out with my foundation brush to keep from itching into clown cheek territory. Bottom line: you need Jealous Blush, just be careful. Better yet, you need the entire Disney Villains Collection. If you spot a display at your local Walgreens make sure you grab a piece or two before it’s all gone!

Fancie you are so dang gorgeous and I LOVE your top!!!! I’m so distracted by the cute shirt!! Your look is killer though, and because of you, I had to grab the Disney Villain Poison and Dragon’s Lair lipstick (as well as the gold nail polish… some sort of crown or throne I think?).

    1. Aww thank ya!! Somehow I managed to completely ignore the polish until the other day and now I want one myself lol. After that, I’m just going to avoid the display because Disney did way too good of a job with this collection LOL

      1. Haha, too true! You should definitely go for the polish though, it’s frikkin amazing. Perfectly smooth and opaque in one coat. My mom is loving the gold polish, and her nails have a bunch of ridges in them. =o

        1. Sounds like I need to be hitting Walgreens this week lol. I’m in need of some new fall polish. Can never have too many!
