Wake up, wake up, wake up! It’s the first of the moooooooonth. Yeah, I’m having a Bone Thugs-n-Harmony moment right now. It’s almost like a natural reaction the first of every month lol. Especially October though. For some reason, I’m already feeling the good vibes this month. I think it’s because I’ve been trying some really great new products and my best friends are in town. Great feelings all around!
Before I can throw a full on celebration for October, I have to say goodbye to September the good ol’ traditional beauty blogger way: with a recap of my faves of the month. Here’s a rundown on my most reached for goodies last month:
Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Hangover Face Primer Hydrated, luminous skin? Yes please! This primer has quickly become one of my faves as it’s moisturizing and creates an even, radiant base for a smooth makeup application that lasts all day. The Hangover Primer is so good I even wear it alone on my no makeup days for an all over glow.
MAC Hyper-Fabulous Vamplify Gloss It’s very seldom that I reach for gloss over lipstick but MAC really knocked it out the gloss park with Hyper-Fabulous. The color is absolutely perfect as an everyday lippie and fuss free nude. It’s a deep mauve-y brown that matches my lips almost perfectly. It’s one of the few lippies I prefer to wear without makeup.
L’Oreal Rose Liquid Glow Illuminator Talk about highlight on fleek! L’Oreal’s new set of liquid illuminators has its fair share of mixed reviews but I think this highlight is pretty nice. It’s easy to apply and it gives a stunning warm rose gold glow that can be sheered out for a subtle effect or built up for a more intense highlight. I like to wear it a little built up so that my cheeks glisten every time the light hits ’em.
Milani Matte Fearless Color Statement Matte Lipstick Most people would wait until fall to pull this baby out but she was much too Fearless to hide! Matte Fearless pretty much became my go to vampy lip last month as I just couldn’t bring myself to stop wearing it. It’s an extremely flattering vampy lip that garners lots of attention everywhere I go. Not to mention, it’s nice and creamy and long lasting so I don’t have to worry about touch ups or sahara lips throughout the day. Win, win!
Milani Embrace & Flirt Amore Matte Lip Cremes On the days I could finally force myself out of Matte Fearless, I had these 2 in heavy rotation. When I was feeling a little flirty and vampy, I’d reach for Embrace, a vibrant magenta, and pair it with MAC Cyber World Lip Pencil. If I was feeling straight up sassy, I went straight for Flirt, a vampy reddish wine. Both shades are super easy to wear and helped ease me right into fall.
Bobbi Brown Very Deep Bisque Corrector Dark circles have never really been a big deal to me but using a corrector still changed my life. The second I blended my concealer on top it was like, “Boom! Instant flawless complexion.” Bobbi’s Corrector actually does neutralize dark circles and brighten the entire eye area. I’m completely addicted!
