Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick by Kate Moss Swatches

Man, there’s some really great drugstore lipsticks out there! I’ll always be a high end makeup junkie but trips to CVS for Shea Moisture soap or cotton pads almost always turns into a haul-fest with lipsticks and such everywhere. Recently, I came across a few new shades of Lasting Finish Lipsticks by Kate Moss while browsing the Rimmel goodies and got suckered into picking up 5 of them. I don’t regret a thing!

I’ve tried one of Kate Moss’s lipsticks years ago back when they were in the red tube and remembered them being smooth, creamy and pigmented so I was expecting more of the same. And Rimmel is still delivering. I’ve only tried one of my new beauties so far but it’s so easy to wear and feels pretty good on the lips.

However, what I really love about the Lasting Finish by Kate Moss line is how complex and unique some of the colors are. Rimmel really steps outside of the box to create some pretty interesting shades that you’d be surprised came from the drugstore. I added 5 of them to my collection including:

  • 29 bright violet with shimmer
  • 30 berry fuchsia
  • 31 warm hot pink
  • 32 peachy beige
  • 51 metallic silver mauve

They’re all beautiful colors but my favorites are 29, 30 and 51. I live for purples and berries so 29 and 30 were a no brainer for me. And 51? Amazeballs! It’s similar to Rihanna’s MAC Viva Glam Rihanna 2 Lipstick but pulls more cool and less bronzey. The color is crazy unique and incredibly complex for a drugstore lipstick. I’m dying to pop it on top of some of my liquid lipsticks for a killer matte metallic lip!

These are all gorgeous, but my favorite is 51. I’m going to have to track that one down.

    1. Me too. I wonder if they are on special displays.

      1. Nope! I found this one in the regular display at Walmart. I think the shades may very depending on location because I saw a STUNNING vampy purple on Instagram one day and still haven’t found it in stores lol. I hope you’re able to track it down though!

    2. Mine too! I was curious after looking at the color on the tube but was in awe once I opened it. It’s so beautiful!

Wow, # 51 looks unique! Not sure if I can pull it off, but it sure looks awesome, almost duo chrome

    1. Yesss! I definitely think you could pull it off with the right lip liner. I’m thinking of filling in my lips with a vampy liner and then popping a little of 51 in the center

51 would definitely look awesome, especially over a liquid lipstick! Honestly, it looks so much like my mom’s frosty lipsticks from the early 2000s… I’ve been stealing them as of late. (nothing wrong with wearing 10+ year old lipstick) 30 looks utterly adorable! =)

    1. That’s an excellent idea! And lmao I swear we’re twinsies! All my mom wears is metallic/frosty lipsticks so I always used to avoid them. Now I’m picking them like flowers these days. They look so pretty paired with other lippies. Now I’m gonna start patting a little on my liquid lipsticks lol

Lol! The ’70s/’80s generation had style… Good thing retro is cool again. 😉 Frosts are super pretty over other lipsticks, though. Wet n Wild’s Cherry Frost especially makes a red liquid lipstick pop! Or just wear it over lip liner haha.

        1. They did though! Lol I can’t lie. I really love the idea of using them over liquid lipsticks though. I’m gonna try it this weekend with one of my ColourPop lipsticks
