ELF Baked Bronzer Swatches

ELF Los Cabos, Bora Bora Baked Bronzer

The last thing I need in my life is more bronzers (or highlighters) but for $1.50? Yup. I need ’em! Last month, ELF went a little crazy with the half off sales which caused me to go a little crazy too. I haven’t ordered anything from ELF in years so I was excited to be able to try some new products. Especially for half off!

I mainly came for the brushes but I had to add a little makeup to my cart too–for the free shipping of course. Starting with the Baked Bronzers that seem to be pretty popular. They’re shimmery bronzers that can be used wet or dry for a subtle wash of color and radiant glow. I picked two shades because one is never enough and it was too hard to decide between them after looking up swatches. All of them are beautiful!

In the end, I settled on Bora Bora and Los Cabos. Bora Bora is a warm golden bronze and Los Cabos is neutral rose gold. Both were rather sheer when swatched dry but I actually like them a lot because of that. The sheerness makes it easy to achieve a natural, lit from within glow without over-applying. Plus, the glitter is so very fine that I don’t think these will emphasize pores or come off too metallic.

And they’re so buttery! Believe it or not, these $3 Baked Bronzers are soft to the touch and seem really easy to blend out. I’m curious to see how they perform when wet but I think the ELF Baked Bronzers are going to be a hit in my collection used dry. I’m all about the glow but sometimes I find myself yearning for a more toned down highlighter when reaching for my shimmery blushes and I think these babies may be just what I’m looking for.
