ELF Moisturizing Lipstick Swatches
In the midst of holiday hauling, I’ve almost forgot about all of the ELF goodies I ordered a while back. It didn’t help that it took forever for ELF to actually send it but I’ve been treating myself so much that I haven’t had much time to actually crack the stuff open and give it a try. Madness right?
However, I was able to squeeze in a quick second before bed to try on some new lipsticks tonight. ‘Cause makeup in bed is just as good as breakfast in bed–to me at least. So I finally cracked open my ELF Moisturizing Lipsticks for a quick round of fun.
It’s been years since I’ve tried an ELF lipstick but I was curious to see how I’d like the new formula and quality now that I’m a little older and more experienced. During the half off sale, I picked out 3 shades of Moisturizing Lipsticks including:
- Bordeaux Beauty reddish wine
- Berry Kiss mauve
- Black Berry burgundy wine
They’re all great shades for fall and winter so I couldn’t resist giving them a whirl. Upon swatching them, I found that they’re moderately pigmented with a creamy satin finish with a subtle sheen and sweet vanilla scent. I’m wearing Berry Kiss right now and not only am I pleased with the color but the formula isn’t too shabby either. It went on smoothly and evenly with nice pigmentation and creamy, comfortable texture. I just applied it a few minutes ago so I can’t speak on the wear just yet but I can say that the ELF Moisturizing Lipsticks definitely seem promising. Especially for $3!
Black Berry, Berry Kiss, Bordeaux Berry
For $3, these look good !
They’re actually pretty nice! The packaging definitely has a cheap feel but I really like the formula. It’s very easy to wear. Especially for $3 lipsticks!
Another one of those great lipsticks, but cheap packaging. Still, lovely shades with a great range.
LOL very cheap packaging at that! I stored kind upside down in my brush belt at work and the lipstick came apart smh. I do like the formula though. Guess you can’t have it all for cheap lol
