Usually when we think nude lips we think pale peach, beige and pinky tones but the culture of nude lips has drastically changed in 2015. Gone are the days of chalky, ashy nude lipsticks that just aren’t flattering. I can’t say I’m going to miss those unflattering nudes but I can say that I’m more than happy to see a new nude trend roll in: deep nudes.
‘Cause nudes aren’t just for the pale gals. Us brown skin divas love nude lips too! That’s why I’ve been loving ColourPop lipsticks lately. They’re not afraid to think outside of the box and whip up some killer nudes that are nothing like the traditional nudes we’re used to.
One of ColourPop’s newest nude creations is Teeny Tiny. It’s described as a deep greyed out plum which couldn’t be more accurate despite how the color looks in the tube. Upon application, Teeny Tiny looks like your average mauve-y brown liquid lipstick but once it completely sets Teeny Tiny transforms into a deeper sexy grey mauve plum with a hint of brown a killer ultra matte finish.
The quality is on par with the rest of the amazing Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks I’ve tried too. Teeny Tiny glides on smoothly and evenly with a thin, lightweight texture that dries almost immediately to an ultra matte finish that doesn’t budge. Even through a full day of talking and a couple of meals, Teeny Tiny lasts for around 6-7 hours before it begins to fade. Like most ultra matte liquid lipsticks, Teeny Tiny can get a little drying so it’s best to thoroughly exfoliate and properly moisturize with a nice hydrating balm for the best results.
Whether you’re a dark skin diva or just tired of pale nudes I highly recommend checking out Teeny Tiny Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick. It’s flattering, unique and won’t break the bank at just $6. Can’t beat that!
