Prestige Skincare Now Available at CVS!

CVS Prestige Skincare: Murad, Peter Thomas Roth, Dermalogica, Bare Minerals, Bliss, Philosophy

I used to live at CVS last year when I discovered all of the perks (and coupons) of joining their Beauty Club. Then I started working for Bobbi Brown and found myself binging on all of the high end beauty I was surrounded by 5 days a week. I still like to pop into to CVS every once in a while though and during my latest trip I was left with my mouth hanging open when I walked through the skincare aisle.

Is that prestige skincare I see?! Yes, it is! I was actually in search of some Freeman Beauty masks but came up short because it looks like CVS is overhauling their beauty section. I did a quick Google search and didn’t come up with much except for an old 2008 article from WWD reporting that CVS was planning to add prestige brands to their portfolio under the moniker Beauty 360. I’m not sure if operation Beauty 360 is still in effect as the prestige skincare I saw was mixed right in with the drugstore stuff like Burt’s Bees and Neutrogena. Crazy right? Brands including Murad, Peter Thomas Roth, Bliss, Philosophy, Bare Minerals and Dermalogica were all just chilling at my local CVS.

At first glance, the prices are about the same as what you’d see at department stores with a few products here and there being a few dollars cheaper. Which is a nice perk. But the biggest perks are:

  1. You no longer have to get dressed up and throw on makeup to avoid the funny looks and lack of customer service just to replace your morning cleanser.
  2. Coupons and Extra Care Bucks baby!

That’s right. All those 20-30% off coupons and Extra Care Bucks qualify for prestige skincare too. Which is huge considering department stores almost always exclude beauty products from coupons, Sephora only offers sales a few times a year and prestige brands are almost always excluded from coupons at Ulta. So now you’re able to save a pretty penny all year round and you don’t have to go far either. It’s a win, win! I’ve already used my Extra Care Bucks on the Peter Thomas Anti-Aging Gel Cleanser I’ve been eyeing for months and I certainly plan to snag one of his sets when they return online.

Have you spotted prestige skincare at your local CVS yet?
